Faith In Humanity Restored: Keanu Reeves Has Been Secretly Funding Children’s Hospitals

Celebrities are always in the spotlight. No matter how much they try to hide and protect their private life, it seems as though they are always in the public eye. Their lives are completely exposed to us – the public and we have a feeling that we know everything there is about them. But sometimes we are wrong.

You see, you may think that they’ve completely let you inside their world, but the truth is, celebrities show you as much as they feel comfortable to show you.

Speaking of, the biggest example of a celebrity that enjoys going through life low-key, far away from all the fuss and drama of Hollywood, is the one and only Keanu Reeves.

I am sure that we all know him as the super cool hero from Matrix, the lawyer from The Devil’s advocate and the occult detective from Constantine. I am more than certain that if you haven’t watched those movies than you’ve definitely watched John Wick.

And I am pretty sure that you all know about his personal struggles and tragedies.

However, aside from the fact that we all know him as this incredibly attractive, amazing and compassionate human being, there is something else about this man that brought tears to my eyes the minute I found out.

The most amazing thing about this honorable and caring man is actually out of the spotlight. It takes place in real life. Supposedly Keanu has been quietly donating to children’s hospitals and financing cancer researches. Yes, you read it right.

Keanu Reeves has been secretly funding different cancer charities and helping children’s hospitals. In fact, he has also established his own foundation for the treatment of cancer patient in honor of his sister.

For those of you who don’t know, Keanu’s sister, Kim Reeves, is an ex-patient of leukemia who was diagnosed with this terrible disease at a young age and struggled with it for 10 years. During this tough period, Keanu was the one who was there for her. Terrified and saddened by his sister condition, he decided that he wanted to help other people in help as well. So, he donated millions and millions of dollars to many charity foundations.

But he didn’t stop there. After his sister recuperated, he opened his own foundation, which according to one interview in 2009, is now running for more than 10 years. To the question, “Why no one knows about this?” he explained that he never wanted to have his name attached to it.

Seems like Keanu is our real-life superhero.

Another reason why he will always remain my favorite actor of all times.
