God Knows What You Hold In Your Heart Even If You Don’t Say It Out Loud

Last night I found myself feeling lost and like God was not listening to my prayers. I have been asking for the same things time and time again, but it is like God got deaf to my needs. It’s like he keeps me waiting intentionally while he makes my life lessons harder.

At first, I thought that he didn’t understand me completely. So, I tried to speak to him in different languages and in different ways, feeling like if I could just perfect my words and prayers he will finally listen to me and make them true.

And then, it dawned on me. God knows what is in your heart even before you open your mouth to say it out loud. God knows your deepest needs and desires of your heart better than you. God doesn’t need to remind him of your needs. He never forgets you.

He doesn’t forget the thing you wished for ten years ago or last night. He doesn’t forget your prayers nor the nights you were crying and begging him to help you because you have no one to turn to. God knows your heart better than anyone.

The thing is, God won’t always give you what you are begging him to give you, no matter how hard you pray and how desperate you are. He won’t always make your life easier.

Better yet, because he knows your heart’s desires and what you truly need – he will give you just what you need to heal yourself forever and not just temporarily. He will give you what you need and not what you want in the moment.

At the end of the day, your heart belongs to God. He will take care of it.

So, you can plead all you want and try to convince God that your plans are the ones that will make you truly happy, but you won’t succeed. You can’t change the God’s plan for you. Just have faith in him. Have faith in his silence.

Even in the moments when you think he is not there – he is. In the days when life gets too heavy and you can’t seem to find the strength to get out of bed – he is there. In the nights when you are sobbing because you lost someone you loved, and you feel dead inside – he is there. In the days where nothing seems right and everything goes wrong – he is there, don’t forget him.

Keep your faith in God alive and understand that everything is happening for a reason, even if you don’t see it now. Just trust him and watch the signs he gives you. Everything will be okay in the end.
