This Is How You Love Someone Who Always Overthinks

Probably the first thought that comes to your mind when you hear the word overthinker is that they’re overemotional and difficult to deal with. But, this is far from the truth.

The person who overthinks is different from the rest because they tend to overanalyze everything. Yet, this doesn’t make them clingy, boring, or weird.

The first thing you should know when you love someone who constantly overthinks is that you’re in love with a person who is a victim of their own mind.  A person who is always busy overanalyzing things. Whether it’s thinking about where you might be at a given time or why you aren’t texting them back right away, they always wonder if things mean more.

The person who overthinks always has questions to ask. Overanalyzing things is beyond their control. They can’t help it but give in to their interrogative natures.

Loving an overthinker can be a little bit challenging, but it’s also one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have and something which is worth every effort.

When you love a person who overthinks, you mustn’t send them mixed signals. Be straightforward and let them know where they stand in your life. You shouldn’t expect that an overthinker will be sure you love them only by telling them how much they mean to you. Instead, you have to support your words with meaningful actions and gestures. So, let your actions speak louder than your words.

When you love someone who overthinks, you need to show them that you’ll always be there when times get rough. You need to let them know they can always count on you for your help and support. You need to be their pillar of strength.

When you love an overthinker, you need to openly communicate with them. When they ask you questions, even about the most insignificant things, make sure you honestly answer them.

When you’re in love with an overthinker, you have to be ready to be open. You shouldn’t keep secrets and be discreet in your ways.  Instead, feel free to tell them everything about you. One of the reasons for which they overthink is that they fear you might be hiding something from them. So, behaving suspiciously or keeping secrets from them will only make the situation worse and drive them out of their mind.

It’ll take time before they start having complete trust in you, but once they do so, they’ll expect that you won’t do anything that could break their trust in you. That’s why the person who overthinks always prefers to know the truth, no matter how cruel or painful it is, than to be lied to.

When you love an overthinker, you need to show that you understand their questions, doubts, and worries although they might often be unreasonable. You need to have high levels of empathy and compassion so as to compensate for their shortcomings.

There will be times when they won’t be able to help their confusing thoughts. Yet, you must never allow yourself to get frustrated or mad at them because this will deeply hurt their feelings. Instead of getting angry at them, try to assure them there’s nothing they need to worry about.

Most importantly, you need to love them with every part of you. You need to wear your heart on your sleeve. You need to be loving, compassionate, and supportive. You need to show them that you care about their feelings, opinions, and problems. You need to let them know you deserve their trust and that they’re your priority, not your option.

Let them know that love shouldn’t be as complicated as they tend to think.

You have to let them be themselves. You have to make them know that they were right choosing you.

And never doubt that they’ll appreciate your effort. They’ll be grateful to you for putting up with all their ifs, whats, whys, and maybes. They’ll make you feel like you’re the most loved, respected, and important person in the world. They’ll never do anything which could make you doubt their love for you. They’ll give their best to make you happy.

When you love an overthinker, you always know where you stand with them. Once they let you in their life, you are in for good.
