Brace yourselves Jack and Rose fans! For the movie’s 20th anniversary, Titanic is returning to theaters on December 1. So, viewers can once again relieve the memories of their favorite characters, and perhaps even solve the door debate (because seriously, there WAS room for Jack).
The film’s director, James Cameron, announced in a video that ‘Titanic’ is exclusively returning to AMC theaters on December 1. Twenty years later and we still don’t let the ship sail away. That speaks volumes about how iconic this film is.
According to IMDb, ‘Titanic’ was nominated for 14 Academy Awards, and won 11. Plus, audiences from all over the world loved it which proves that ‘Titanic’ sold more tickets than any other movie in its 8th, 9th, 10th, and 12th weeks. This film beat all its competition in the first 3 months after its release.
It is easy to assume why this film got so popular. The adored pair had immense chemistry on scene – take for example the painting scene, which is still much sexier than a blunt sex scene.
Moreover, there is also the pleasure of the movie’s twist ending. And while it is not possible to imagine we don’t know how things will play out, we still get goosebumps when we see the pictures in old Rose’s bedroom of her life-changing, although brief, affair with Jack.
So, it is time for celebration! This masterpiece will be back in theaters soon, so better find your local AMC soon and get prepared for the magic and tears!
Maybe play the song “My Heart Will Go On” several times before the bid day. ????
