CBD Performance Anxiety
In the case of athletes, competition-related anxiety can affect performance, though, and even willingness to participate in events. CBD oil can be particularly helpful for younger athletes who have not developed a routine for handling and dealing with the anxiety that athletic success can cause. The number of student-athletes who say they are struggling with some form of mental disorder associated with their sport is growing. Any of this may most likely be due to culture and overactive parenting, but neurotropic therapies may also have a role to play. However, medications such as benzodiazepines induce sedation and sluggish reflexes. Long-term anxiolytics, such as SSRIs, induce metabolic changes that may also negatively affect efficiency. As a result, CBD oil could be the secret to helping athletes restart their athletic efforts after suffering bouts of anxiety or panic attacks.

Perhaps the most exciting anecdote we’re talking about using CBD is that it can relieve muscle and joint pain. There’s no way that CBD relieves pain for many people. However, endurance athletes fall into a special category of knee pain. They will also feel discomfort, despite being in the best physical condition. In addition, they are required to handle the discomfort that would keep an average person home from work and perform at a high level on race day.
Past protocols, such as NSAIDs and opioids, have a number of issues. NSAIDs will wreak havoc on the intestinal biome and even increase the risk of coronary problems over time. The opiums on the side are notoriously addictive. In addition, they are so strong that athletes play through pain thresholds that should deter them, and then inflict long-term damage to their bodies.
