I Am Tired Of Everything-Top Tips To Improve Your Mental Wellbeing

I Am Tired Of Everything

Tired Of Everything

You’re tired. I know what it feels like. You are tired but not just physically. The world is a dynamic place to live in, it demands your full attention, energy, and effort, and eventually, you get tired. You become tired of everything: the people who surround you, your job, your boss, your spouse, your kids…the list goes on endlessly. You simply get just tired of everything.

You’ve tried, you’ve tried too much, you put too much effort into being a better person, not only for yourself but to be better for the others around you. The world is cruel and never gives anything back so you get tired of investing in indefinite outcomes.

You haven’t always been this worn out. There was a time in your life when you were pure, full of hope, and very optimistic. You thought that you can give your best and try to make difference in the world.

But the world crushed you, a broken heart from un-kept promises, too many tears, and too much loss made you so tired. You have to play the games, play by the rules, and you never won. Your inspiration to try again is far gone.

I Am Tired Of Everything

The truth is, we are all tired. You are not alone. Every person becomes worn out by a certain age. We join the club of broken hearts and aching souls who are desperately searching for fulfillment. We want more, we are sick of our current position, and yet we are too scared to begin again.

Certain risks need to be taken but the fear of losing it all again makes us too much afraid to start something new, to risk, to try, to change.

Life is a constant battle. We fight against each other and get tired of each other, tired of the games we play, tired of the lies we say and the uncertainties we present to each other.

We don’t want to be the villain and we don’t want to be the fool either, so we put the guards go up. Again and again, we continue playing in the vicious circle because we’re not sure what choice we have left.

The cheerful ideals you were once promised now seem tired and hopeless. It feels impossible to go on trying and giving and becoming when you are exhausted straight through to the soul.

However, there is a point when you get so tired that you feel like you are burning out. And if you cross that line, your mental and emotional well being are in danger and it is difficult to get yourself back on track.

10 Sign That Show That You Are At Risk Of Burning Out:

1. You feel numb

You no longer feel the highs and lows. You no longer feel happiness over the good things that happen to you, nor are you feeling sad or angry over disturbing events. Your main emotion is numbness. You are not in touch with your feelings because you feel exhausted. You are tired of everything. Your heart becoming numb is one of the first signs that you are in deep need of healing and recovering.

2. You no longer feel passionate or excited about things.

Every person can lose motivation and passion from time to time, however, when someone feels deeply exhausted and is burning out; they are in a place of a never-ending cycle of feeling hopeless. Even for things that you once felt very passionate about, like your job or hanging out with your friends and family, you can no longer feel it. It’s like suddenly you can’t find happiness and passion anywhere.

3. You feel as though everyone drains your energy.

You feel emotionally and energetically drained whenever you find yourself around people. You feel as though they are robbing you of your positivity and energy. It is as if no person can make you feel better and get you in a better mood, not even your closest friends and family members. Even though you know it in your heart that those are good people that wish the best for you, you just feel drained and negative around them.

4. You get angry over trivial things.

You feel like you don’t have any control over your emotions. You get angered by unimportant things. You catch yourself raging unexpectedly and without any viable reason. That’s a sign that your emotions are hurt and your energy is depleted. Therefore, you need full emotional recovery.

5. Nothing makes you happy and fulfilled.

Not even your friends. Not your family. Not your hobbies. Not going on a vacation. Nothing makes you feel happy and fulfilled. Nothing satisfies and nourishes your soul. This can be a clear sign of depression and a red flag that you are burning out and you need to help yourself.

6. You can’t think clearly.

When you are in a state of deep exhaustion, your heart can easily mess up your mind and you may lose your ability to think straight and make thoughtful decisions. You can easily make a mistake when you are burning out, so be careful. Don’t rush into doing something you will regret later. Don’t buy that sports car or that luxurious necklace. Don’t undertake any steps until you clear your head without letting your emotions get a hold of you.

7. You are on anti-depressants or other forms of self-medication.

You have turned to self-medication to numb the pain. When you are burning out and your heart is broken, then you may indulge in activities that are not healthy for you, such as drinking, smoking, overeating, impulsive buying, overworking, or even taking drugs and medications on your own. You are choosing self-medication over self-care and that is a sign of deep emotional exhaustion and pain.

8. You stopped laughing

Nothing can make you happy. When you are in a state of burning out, then you won’t laugh anymore. And in the beginning, you may not notice it, but when later, when you think about it, you will realize that months even years have passed by since you laughed from your heart. This is a subtle but very big red flag that you need to work on yourself and your healing.

9. You have trouble sleeping.

You are extremely tired but you can’t sleep at night. And even if you manage to fall asleep, you wake up still tired and without energy. This happens because when you are burning out, sleep doesn’t help fuel your batteries. And this is also a big warning sign that you need to recover because you are burning out.

10. Your productivity levels are dropping at a high speed.

Low productivity is another clear sign that you are physically and mentally exhausted. When you are lacking energy, your productivity levels are dropping at a high speed. You lack motivation and energy to do the work you need to do. You can’t think straight and every task may feel like a nightmare to you when before you had been highly productive and a leader in anything that you did.

Are You More Than Just Tired? Are You Burning Out?

If you do, then there are some things that you can do to help yourself out of your situation.

  1. Start eating. When you are stressed out, some people lose a lot of weight. Because they are stressed out they lose their appetite. However, if you don’t give your body enough nutrients, you will become even more stressed out and every little thing will get on your nerves. So, eat more! And I don’t mean chocolates and fast food, but try to eat healthy and balanced meals. Your body and your soul will thank you.
  2. Get a lot of sleep. Whenever you are tired and exhausted, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, there is a need to restore yourself and refuel your energy. And what is better than a good night’s sleep for doing that? When you are in a state of burning out, you must sleep as if your life depends on it. And then, you will see that you will start feeling better and more energized.
  3. Start exercising. More importantly, try to have fun while doing it. When you are burned out, it is essential for you to work out. I know that it is hard, especially when every fiber of your body wants to rest. But, you must do it if you want to speed up the healing process and get out of the mental prison you are in. If, however, you don’t feel like going to the gym, a walk in the park can do it.
  4. Meditate. Practice meditation and mindfulness. Clear your energy by focusing on your breathing and opening your chakras. You will feel peaceful. And as you get in a state of deep calm, your worries and anxieties will start leaving your body. And you will immediately start feeling better and more alive.

Finally, if you feel this close to giving up I beg you to give it one more try, with feeling. I know that you’ve tried so many times and that you’re tired of your attempts.

The thing is, you should never give up. The struggle is what keeps us going on. The more we try the greater the achievement will feel. The truth about that second wind of passion is that you’re never going to realize you have it if you do not keep on running past your first.

We want immediate results and so when we see none, we give up. We don’t walk far enough down our own roads to reach the point where we’re complete our mission. We let the exhaustion stop us and we grow frustrated with the lack of feedback.

Don’t give up, there is always more love that we are capable of giving. There is more hope that we are capable of having. There is more passion that we’re capable of unleashing and flooding out into the world.

None of us are inspired every day. We all get exhausted, we all get discouraged, and we’re allowed to work on those feelings. Just because you’re beaten down and sick and tired of the life that you’re living doesn’t mean you’re not making a change.

Every person you have ever admired has had times where they felt utterly defeated in the pursuit of their dreams, but that didn’t prevent them from reaching them. You’re allowed to stumble slowly towards your biggest transformations-it doesn’t always have to be a blazing, flagrant affair.

Some parts of life happen quietly, they happen slowly. They happen because of the small and careful choices that we make every day. The choices we make turn us into better versions of ourselves. We have to give ourselves time. We have to allow to those alterations happen and to watch them evolve. We should not grow hopelessly frustrated in the in-between.

7 Signs Of Exhaustion

We all feel tired sometimes. It is normal. However, when we are going through long periods of being tired and physically and mentally exhausted, then our health can suffer. Therefore, it is vital for us to be aware of the signs that reveal that we are in a state of deep exhaustion and we need to take care of ourselves and our well-being. Here are the most common signs of being mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted.

1. Recurring headaches

When you are mentally exhausted, your mind is not the only thing that gets affected. You may also feel pains in your body as a result. For instance, headaches that are recurring and don’t go away may be a sign that something is disturbing your mental peace and harmony. Also, random muscle aches can be another sign that you are mentally exhausted and you need to take a break.

2. Feeling detached

Indifference, apathy, and a strong feeling of detachment are all signs that you are mentally and emotionally depleted. Feeling burnout, or mentally exhausted, can cause you to also feel numb to other people or things that previously interested you. Nothing will excite you anymore and so you may start feeling angry and frustrated as well.

3. Suffering from insomnia

Insomnia is one of the greatest signs of mental exhaustion. This sleep disorder affects the quality of your sleep pattern and leaves you tired and exhausted every day. As a result, you lack energy and it can disturb your efficiency and productivity at work.

4. Lack of motivation

Exhaustion can definitely suck out the motivation of you. It can leave you tired and uninterested in the important things in your life. You can start losing your passion and energy for doing the things that you were normally doing with a smile on your face. Therefore, when you begin feeling that you are losing the passion and motivation you once had, it is a sign that you are depleted, either mentally, physically, or spiritually.

5. Irritability

You feel lethargic and lazy. You don’t want to be around people because you find yourself getting irritated by everyone or over the littlest things. You have gone into a hermit mode, and you don’t allow anyone to go near you. You have little to no social life because all you want to do is be by yourself, having no one to upset you. This is a sign of deep mental exhaustion.

6. Feeling overwhelmed

When you are exhausted, you are not feeling like yourself. You feel overwhelmed with every little thing. And all you want to do is lie down and make everything stop for a moment. Your body may be aching as well and you feel mentally and emotionally drained. You feel hopeless as if there is nothing you can do to bring back your zest for life.

7. You feel anxious and depressed

Chronic physical and mental exhaustion can lead to stress, anxiety, and even depression. It can deplete your heart, body, and soul. Feeling constantly stressed out, anxious, or even depressed is a sign of mental exhaustion and you need to immediately start with your healing process. Moreover, high levels of anxiety can lead to nausea, diarrhea, nervousness, jitters, or even panic attacks.

So, when you’re tired, go quietly. Go slowly. Go timidly, but do not stop. You have all the right reasons to be tired. You are supposed to be tired because you’re making a change.

You are exhausted for all the right reasons and it’s only an indication to go on, to continue fighting. You are tired because you’re growing, and someday that growth will give way to the exact rejuvenation that you need. Just remember to never ever give up.

Before Smartphones And Computers Kids Had Real Fun

Remember the good old days when kids had real fun? Check out these 10 vintage photos that show what children did for fun before smartphones

Kids today are so hooked to mobile phones that they simply can’t fathom living without one. Some can’t even go through a whole single day without fidgeting on an i-Pad or a cellphone.

To them, a world without smartphones, and technology as a whole, must seem like a dull, tedious place, stripped of all that is fun and enjoyable.

They are so dependent on gadgets that they’ve never even heard of some of the games that we used to play outside, because that’s where we spent our childhood – outside.

The fun only ended when your mother would start screaming her lungs out that it was time for dinner.

We didn’t need much, right? However, those were simpler times and technology was not that accessible as it is today.

Kids today must be wondering, What did people do for fun in a world where viral videos and cool games were not but a click away?

Scientists Reversed Brain Damage In A 2-Year-Old Girl Who Drowned In A Swimming Pool

US researchers reported about what they think is one of a kind happening – doctors have reversed brain damage in a 2-year-old girl who drowned in a swimming pool and was in the water for 15 minutes. They treated her condition with a combination of oxygen therapies.

The little girl’s heart didn’t beat for whole 2 hours after she was dragged out from the pool. She lost her ability to walk, speak, and recognize voices. Moreover, she would involuntarily shake her head and squirm around.

Her first MRI scan after the incident showed a deep grey matter injury along with a cerebral atrophy with white and grey matter brain loss.

However, the great thing is that doctors were able to reverse this brain damage using oxygen treatments which included hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). This therapy was administered by a team of doctors from LSU Health New Orleans and the University of North Dakota.

“The startling re-growth of tissue, in this case, occurred because we were able to intervene early in a growing child, before long-term tissue degeneration”, said Paul Harch, a hyperbaric specialist from the LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.

This incident occurred last year in February. Eden Carlson, in the time a two-year-old girl, slipped into the baby gate and down into the family swimming pool while her mother was taking a shower.

Her mother saw her drowning after 15 minutes and immediately gave her CPR, but she was not resuscitated for 2 hours. Eden was finally revived by doctors at Washington Regional Medical Centre in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

After being in intensive care for 48 hours at the hospital, doctors suggested that she get oxygen therapies in order to “wake-up” her injured brain.

These hyperbaric oxygen therapies happen in a room in which the air pressure is three times higher than the air pressure in a regular room. This expands the lungs’ capacity to gather more oxygen than in a room with normal air pressure. This way the person gets 100% pure oxygen in greater amounts that spread throughout the whole body, thus repairing any damaged area.

At first, they gave her a series of normobaric oxygen treatments with a sea level pressure, 55 days after the drowning occurred. This treatment lasted 45 minutes and she received it twice a day through a nasal cannula.

These treatments helped Eden in reducing her squirming. She also recovered her alertness and got back her ability to move her hands and arms. She could also laugh, pronounce short sentences, and she was partly able to eat orally again.

Three weeks later, Eden and her family moved to New Orleans where she started receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatments.

Her mother noticed that her little girl is back to nearly normal after just 10 sessions. Along with the hyperbaric treatments, Eden started doing physical exercises also, in order to get back her major motor functions.

Once she completed all her 39 hyperbaric sessions, Eden’s walking had drastically improved along with her speech that was even better than before. Also, she showed valuable improvements on all neurological abnormality tests and her cognition and motor movements were almost normal.

At the end of her treatment, and 162 days after the incident, she did MRI scan again and the results showed just a minimal residual brain injury. But, what is important is that the MRI scan revealed an almost complete reversal of her brain’s cortical and white matter atrophy.

Eden’s case and treatment are further explained in details in Medical Gas Research.

The team of doctors behind Eden’s case said that this case is not reported yet with any therapy.

They still cannot fully explain how this brain reverse actually happened, but the fact remains that normobaric oxygen therapies combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatments did wonder to the little girl’s brain – they reduced the inflammatory processes in the brain and helped in the revival of the brain cells.

10 Bad Habits That Drain Your Energy And How To Quit Them

As human beings, we are born to make mistakes. We all know that old saying: To err is human. We have many faults and we are prone to stray from the right path. It takes a strong character and will to become the person you want to be.

One has to be disciplined to achieve the set-out goals in life. In our lifetime, we interact with all sorts of people and the trends of society impose themselves on us without us even realizing it.

Some of these factors may have a negative impact on our way of life and one can easily be caught up in the grips of bad habits that are sometimes extremely hard to shed.

These bad habits drain our energy and leave us completely exhausted, as if life itself had given us a good beating. How to avoid this? Is there a way to shed these bad habits and live a better, healthier life?

Here are the top 10 bad habits that drain our energy and the solutions to these issues as proposed by the Dalai Lama himself:

  1. Keep your promises

Don’t make promises you can’t keep. In an effort to be nice, you will end up destroying your good name. So, if you make a promise, stick with it!

  1. Stay away from toxic people

Many times, through wanting to help people, we end up receiving complaints and negative energy from others. Surround yourself with positive people, and avoid the toxic ones.

  1. Pay your bills on time

“Don’t owe anyone anything” should be your life motto. Always pay back your debts on time. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

  1. Learn to forgive

If we choose to live with unforgiveness, we choose to suffer. Instead of poisoning yourself with hatred, choose to forgive and move on, whether or not someone deserves your forgiveness. Do it to give yourself peace. You’ll feel like a weight has been lifted off your chest.

  1. Focus on doing what you like

Sometimes we need to do things we don’t enjoy, but, when possible, delegate the tasks you don’t like doing and focus on what you are passionate about.

  1. A time for every purpose

There’s time to rest and time to act. Both are equally important and necessary in your life. Do not forget it.

  1. Don’t clutter…renew!

If you want to let your life flow, don’t get stuck. Start by rearranging your bedroom or renovating your closet. Your home is a reflection of your energy, and clutter blocks its natural flow. So, if you want to clear your mind, start by clearing out the clutter in your space.

  1. Face adversity

Do not hide from confrontations. If something bothers you, express it and cut it out of your life. Do not wait for the solution to fall from the sky. It’s often right here — you just have to look around.

  1. Keep an eye on your health

Even the most brilliant mind can’t do without good health. Those who take care of both their physical and mental health needs are much happier. Spend enough time taking care of your body.

  1. Let your life flow

You are a part of everything, and everything is part of you. Stop fighting with life, accept it, and let yourself be carried away by the flow. Just remember that you are the one who navigates the boat.

Why You Should Treat Loneliness As A Chronic Illness

Although the word “loneliness” is used very commonly, only since resent it has been acknowledged that this is in fact a psychological disorder that can turn out to be a very dangerous one if not treated properly. Most of the time in ordinary talk loneliness is confused with being alone, but it has far more deeper meaning than that.

Loneliness is actually a state of mind and not a state of solitude. Solitude is a way of life when one, very consciously, chooses to leave all people behind and live by himself in seclusion.

Opposite to this, sometimes being lonely occurs even when you do have everyone around you, your life seems full and intense, it might look like you have everything you’ve ever wished for. But when you are lonely, you feel empty inside, you feel like you are left to die slowly and alone.

Many of us think that loneliness is an ordinary, everyday feeling that a person can have and it is true sometimes, when you feel that no one understands you.

But the difference here is that if it’s an everyday feeling, the thoughts that you are alone go away rather quickly and don’t come back until another situation triggers that same emotion.

When this happens you might call a friend to come over or you can talk to your parents, or you just grab a book and you are full again with yourself, your hopes and love for the future.

Although loneliness does have the same symptoms, it is followed with a strong feeling of being unwanted, being rejected by the society, by your family, friends and partner. It’s a state of deep sadness and not-belonging.

This kind of sadness exactly makes loneliness so dangerous and chronic, because it doesn’t go away, it just gets deeper and deeper.

This becomes a very real state of the mind, an awful reality where the soul is literally dragging its body behind and has absolutely no reason why it should continue with this life on Earth.

Exactly this is the moment when suicidal thoughts rise up inside the mind of the lonely person. This is the moment when he/she believes that they won’t be even missed.

So you see, loneliness is when you can’t find any reason why should you stay and endure the pain that comes from not having anyone to help you, to hear you.

Despite the medical studies loneliness is not a genetic disorder. As I stated above it is a state of mind, a state of consciousness that has nothing to do with genes or any part of the physical body for that matter.

Further, it is a psychological disorder, meaning the state of the mind was once in order and somehow, in some period of time it became unbalanced. Thus, loneliness is caused by something, some event, some person that has triggered such a deep pain, an everlasting sadness that has gone beyond repairing.

Knowing all this I hope now you’ll know a little better to distinguish loneliness from simply feeling alone and from the usual sadness. If you can understand loneliness than you can help yourself or someone else to recognize this unnatural state of mind.

Because if it is not recognized and acknowledged it cannot be treated properly can cause or evolve into further psychological and health problems like:

  • Depression (major depression or persistent depressive disorder),
  • Low self-esteem that can trigger suicidal thoughts;
  • diminishing cognitive performances;
  • Compromise the whole immune system;
  • Increase the risk of cardiovascular disease or heart attack;
  • Increases the symptoms of developing dementia in early middle age or Alzheimer disease by decreasing the ability to think and learn;
  • Altered brain function;

I will emphasize this once again – if no help is given, this disorder can grow really bad and really fast. It can easily turn into major depression that will require years of work on the Self, or it can push the person to developing a progressive dementia since the one who is lonely doesn’t have any need to read, to study, or to think even.

Lonely people don’t just turn away from society, they leave their Self too. This is so because as the disorder progresses the person doesn’t want to think, because thinking means remembering, all memories are simply too painful for them.

They remember that no one cares, no one asks how they feel. They feel like an extra part, a sick part of humanity that needs to be removed. So they literally try to remove themselves from everywhere and if not treated correctly they can easily take their own life.

Here is some advice on what a person who suffers from loneliness should do:

  • They must recognize their condition, their state of mind as unnatural;
  • Must understand what the consequences from loneliness could be;
  • They should respond to this disorder (maybe by developing quality relationships with people with common interest);
  • Hope for the best, not the worst – which doesn’t mean that one should become a forced one optimist, but only realist and opportunist, because life does give us enough chances to change our life. But we all have free-will, which on the other hand gives us the right to take or to dismiss that chance.

So, please be careful when you judge the condition of someone who suffers from loneliness, it’s not a very nice state to be in. Therefore, be a good friend to someone who is lonely, you might just save their life.

ADHD Exists And It Should Be Treated With A Combination Of Treatments And Medication

You keep losing keys, constantly forgetting deadlines or appointments or maybe you have problems managing your time and act impulsively in everyday situations.  You probably need a help of a health professional as you may have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and need professional treatment.

Is ADHD Real?

Do you know someone who doubts that ADHD exists? Or do you perhaps, have doubts yourself?

According to all the major medical groups, like the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, National Institutes of Health, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, ADHD is known as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and such it is considered a real biological condition that should be treated. (1)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the many conditions treated by Adderall, a prescription medication. It has also been used to treat related issues and sleep disorders, like narcolepsy or excessive daytime sleepiness. There are also Adderall alternatives that actually work like the ADHD medication

But What Precisely Is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder?

It is a brain disorder that makes people unable to stay focused, pursue tasks until their very end, and concentrate. In addition, it makes them excessively active, often to the extent of restlessness.

People suffering from the disorder are unable to calmly go through a decision-making process but rather rush into hasty judgments and actions. As a result, of all of the above, they can be a burden to society.

However, many people out there, including researchers, some doctors, and therapists openly disagree. Some of them believe that the problem starts with the way the condition is diagnosed.

Actually, some skeptics believe it is an excuse for bad parenting in children and not being able to take responsibility as a grown-up rather than a real health condition.

These skeptics also question the high number of diagnosed cases in the United States, and the number is much bigger than in European countries.

Some doctors state that children are very often misdiagnosed as the number of diseases and different health conditions that may cause these symptoms are big, and this doesn’t mean that children have ADHD.

So, they think that adult ADHD is not a valid clinical diagnosis. On this end of the spectrum, there are many critics who believe that ADHD is just another social construct. One of them is Jerome Kagan, a renowned Harvard psychologist who has been loud about this subject and has expressed strong doubts about the neurological basis of ADHD in a few interviews. He describes this condition as an invented illness created by the psychiatrist as well as the pharmaceutical companies for their own interest.

Now, while some have openly agreed with him, some out there have completely rejected the idea that ADHD might indeed be just a socially constructed condition.

That is why it is important to focus on context, says Samuel Veissière, Ph.D., an anthropologist, cognitive scientist, and professor at McGill University in his article published in Psychology Today.

“Human realities are too complex to be fitted in extreme biological or social views. While current figures may be overblown, it is likely that a cognitive and mood style that resembles ADHD—impulsivity, high energy, rapid shifts in focus—may be normally distributed in the human population and manifest itself in different ways depending on the context.  Males, for example, are more impulsive than females on average, and are almost three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD.”

According to evolutionary scientists, one of the primary reasons for the ADHD epidemic is the highly inflexible and stressful environment in which we live and every day, struggle to adapt to. Let’s think about it. We live in the digital age. As much as the hyper-availability of information at any moment that is mainly provided by constant connection through mobile devices is helpful, it is also harmful. Especially when you take into consideration that the average attention span of 6-year-olds is 12 minutes. Therefore, it is essential that our selective inattention in a world overflown with information is perceived as us doing our best to adapt to it.

Research Proved That ADHD Is A Real Health Condition

There are some studies that suggest that ADHD is a real disease and it is related to changes in the production of the chemical dopamine in the brain.

One study found that one form of the dopamine receptor gene may increase the chances of this behavioral condition, and it can also improve its end result in the long run.

So, according to studies, this condition runs in the family, and if you have this gene, you may have an increased risk of getting ADHD. The researchers said that children who had this gene usually normalize as they get older and tend to be more intelligent. (2

One other study from 2008 found that ADHD can be related to the lower production of dopamine. The researchers studied children of 10 years of age, studied their MRI scans and their DNA, and found that the dopamine D4 receptor gene (DRD4) is related to ADHD, and this gene is linked with some parts of the brain that control the attention.

Researchers have studied the children over the course of 6 years, and children with this gene had better results and improved their behavior in their teen period and can recover from ADHD more quickly.

So this study also noted that ADHD is a hereditary disease with some predetermined genes and often can require medical and psychological treatment. (3

What Causes ADHD In Children?

Modern Lifestyle

Most researchers found that ADHD is an epidemic of modernity and the modern way of life. The modern lifestyle has an impact on the brain and having in mind that children today are dependent on instant messaging, TV shows, and video games, have busy lives, and it is very hard for them to accustom to the slow pace of the classroom and want to transfer the urgency they have at home to their scholarly endeavors.

But, playing video games can also have positive effects and increase brain efficacy. It just needs to be played for 60 to 90 minutes per day, so most children reap all the benefits from it.

Hereditary Factor

Another factor is the hereditary factor, already mentioned above in the article, but more research is needed to prove this as young brains are very supple and brain cells constantly make new connections, a process is known as ‘arborizing, according to health professionals.

Still, it is very likely that it runs in families since:

  • A child has an increased chance of getting ADHD if some of their family members have it by 4 times.
  • 1/3 of the fathers who had ADHD when they were young have kids with ADHD.
  • Most of the twins shared the ADHD trait.

So, to prevent your child from ADHD, limit the children’s stay in front of the TV and in front of screens and do some low – pace activities such as gardening and cooking.

Alcohol And Drugs During Pregnancy

Professional healthcare practitioners also advise mothers to have a healthy pregnancy and not to indulge in alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes when pregnant since this can also increase the risk of having ADHD.

What Causes ADHD In Adults?

It is very important to recognize the symptoms of ADHD and treat this condition if you have it. In addition, it is also important to recognize what causes it and make some necessary lifestyles if needed:

Lack of sleep

Lack of sleep may lead to poor concentration, reaction time, and comprehension in adults and children and can also make a child hyperactive.

Food and additives

Some types of food may worsen the symptoms of ADHD, so you can pay attention to the foods to the food you take as some foods such as sugars and fat may worsen the symptoms, while protein, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin B may alleviate the symptoms.

Stress

7  Types Of ADHD

Treatment of ADHD depends on the diagnosis and diagnosis techniques that sometimes include scans of the blood flow and brain activity patterns.

In fact, diagnosis of ADHD can be sometimes difficult as there 7 ADHD types:

  1. Classic ADD ( caused by dopamine deficiency and medically treated with stimulating medications like Ritalin and supplements such as Fish Oil, Green tea, Ginseng, and other supplements).
  2. Inattentive ADD ( caused by low activity in the prefrontal cortex and dopamine deficiency, treated with stimulant medications like Concerta and a lower-carbohydrate diet; regular exercise and other stimulating exercises and medications).
  3. Limbic ADD (caused by increased activity in the limbic part of the brain and decreased activity in the prefrontal cortex and treated with antidepressants such as Imipramine, fish oil, special diet, etc.).
  4. Ring of Fire ADD (“ADD plus”) (in this case, the entire brain is hyperactive and stimulants are not recommended and for the medications, anticonvulsants, and the blood pressure drugs guanfacine and clonidine are recommended).
  5. Temporal Lobe ADD ( caused by abnormalities in the temporal lobe, which can be treated with Amino acid GABA to calm the brain activity, magnesium, and anticonvulsant medications to help with anxiety and irritability).

Three Subtypes Of ADHD

There are 3 subtypes of ADHD that should be properly diagnosed :

ADHD – hyperactive & impulsive

7 % of adults have this type of ADHD. The main symptoms are:

  • Hyperactivity
  • Impulsivity

Sometimes people diagnosed with this type of ADHD can also have problems with inattention.

ADHD – inattentive

33% of adults have this type of ADHD. The main symptoms include:

  • Difficulties to stay focused
  • Difficulties in finishing the daily activities
  • Easily distracted by sounds and sights

ADHD –combined

About 60 % of adults have this type of ADHD, and it is a combination of both types of ADHD, as the name suggests.

So, What Is The Solution To The ADHD Problem?

According to many researchers, including Kagan, the process of concluding if someone is mentally ill should be more thorough and precise.  Instead of putting a child or a young person on drugs; psychologists should work on defining the reasons that cause sadness and anxiety. This practice of diagnosing someone only on the basis of symptoms opens the door for many new illnesses, such as bipolar disorder.

That is why today we have more than a million Americans under the age of 19 defined as bipolar. Psychologists have started classifying every child with changes in temper as mentally ill, and again, pharmaceutical companies immediately accept the novelty and new drugs are on the way.

So, as Kegan advises, instead of putting a child on drugs, find him a tutor to help him in school and spend time with him/her to help them overcome their obstacles since their earliest appearance.

Below are 5 simple tips that professor Samuel Paul Veissière Ph.D. have found effective in helping children and highly suggests:

1. Shift attention and expectations toward strengths and growth.

2. Use peer mentoring to increase pride and confidence.

3. Be consistent in enforcing consequences.

4. Limit time with electronics to a minimal, predictable schedule.

5. Spend time outdoors, and allow for unstructured, resilience-building play.

Psychological benefits of music in Advertisement

The effectiveness of music ads is an important tool in creating a successful advertising campaign. Many people remember the catchy phrases or phrases used in commercials. The relationship between music and advertising in every area has been demonstrated, and the benefits brought by music at different times and in different ways for companies seeking to promote their products or services. The fact is that without the music in the ad, there is often a bridge is not a gap between the advertiser and the end user.

Music influences the structure and durability of an ad. It can provide continuity in television, film, and digital media ads by providing music content that connects different viewers. Why is ad music so powerful? Music creates an emotional relationship with viewers or listeners. Each of us is influenced by music in one way or another.

Music is a way of identifying certain cultures and regions of people. We understand that there are different types of music that people listen to We choose music styles based on our preferences in life and where we are at the same time mentally and emotionally. Successful marketers understand this powerful tool and use it as a feature of their campaigns.

Psychological benefits of music

If we spend time listening to music in commercials and breaking the importance of these words, we understand that they are used as a psychological tool to reach us as consumers who deal with the advertised product or service and want to buy what is being offered. In the same way that music is used in movies to bridge the emotional gap with the viewer, you must understand that the same method is used in commercials.

According to soundchime.com research successful ads are created when the advertiser or person in charge of the campaign mode can correctly identify the target market and demographics. If this is discovered and when the individual will begin to understand how to use music effectively in the campaign.

For example, if the type of product being sold is directed at the elderly, playing metal death music in the background will not be an effective way to reach the target audience. Once the target audience is achieved, the advertiser can learn the appropriate musical style for the project.

Often, advertisers will use “canned music,” which is rented or purchased from websites and music libraries that have already been created. While this is an economical choice for many people, using new and original music designed for a specific ad campaign is much more effective because it is specifically designed for the project.

Music producers and composers who specialize in music and commercial songs understand how to put ideas in the commercial market and target market to create a musical piece that will fill the emotional gap to create contact with the end user in order to draw them and make them want to buy the advertised product or service.

Original music can be a much better tool for an ad campaign although it may be more expensive because it can have minimized modifications, alterations, and completely appropriate subjects according to the copyright used in advertising.

20 Profound Quotes By Carl Jung That Will Help You To Better Understand Yourself

Carl Jung is a deep philosophical thinker who examined all aspects of the self when writing about the human experience. He was clear on the notion that we are spiritual beings. Having a spiritual relationship with oneself truly helps us to understand the deeper aspects of who we truly are.

To some people, this idea translates to religion, finding solace in the existence of something greater than yourself. My opinion is that this is a fickle form of spirituality that does not truly help a person get to the core of who they are (or, alternatively, who they are not).

“Carl Jung was one of the creators of modern depth psychology, which seeks to facilitate a conversation with the unconscious energies which move through each of us. He contributed many ideas which continue to inform contemporary life:complex, archetype, persona, shadow, anima and animus, personality typology, dream interpretation, individuation, and many other ideas. He had a deep appreciation of our creative life and considered spirituality a central part of the human journey” says www.cgjungpage.org.

This summation of Carl’s life and work connects deeply to what Collective Evolution is all about. After putting together the quotes in this article, I gained an even deeper appreciation for Carl Jung and his work, since I uncovered the conscious themes that were apparent throughout his teachings and shadow archetype

10 Golden Rules That Can Make You A Millionaire

Having just a couple of millions in your bank account would go a long way to having a much better and more interesting life, right? But how does one achieve this goal?

It’s not easy, that’s for sure. Millions don’t just fall off the sky or grow on trees. So, what can you do to get a million bucks without waiting for a rich relative to die in order to inherit some “dough”?

Having just a couple of millions in your bank account would go a long way to having a much better and more interesting life, right? It’s crazy to think how the richest men and women in the world are living their lives to the fullest because of their wealth. How does one really achieve the goal of having millions of dollars in his/her bank account?

It’s not easy, that’s for sure. Millions don’t just fall off the sky or grow on trees. So, what can you do to get a million bucks without waiting for a rich relative to die in order to inherit some “dough”?

Well, the first thing you need to do is work hard, be smart and properly handle your savings.

  1. Save to Invest

It takes money to make money. Instead of spending all your savings on a dream vacation or a new car, use those funds to start or buy a business or a small project.

  1. Search for the best way to invest money

How and where you invest your money is an important decision. Successful investing is the key to reaching your long-term goals. You have to continually watch the market to know where the investors’ big gravy train is.

  1. Diversify

Never bet on one horse. Put your money in several investments, and keep your primary job while you achieve your goals.

  1. Don’t pretend to be someone you are not

Don’t spend more than you can afford. Live within or below your means and do not borrow money. Instead of spending every weekend at expensive restaurants, organize meetings at your house and save some of the money you did not spend.

  1. Self-education is the key

If you want to succeed in the business world, you have to be willing to dedicate a lot of time to self-education. You can take courses, buy books or read information on the Internet. A successful person can talk intelligently about many different topics, be it politics, markets or sports.

  1. Change the way you think about money

Stop thinking that money is something impossible to achieve for you or that you are OK with what you already have, although you would like to have more. Start by accepting that having money is not bad as long as it’s obtained legally and without going over someone’s head.

  1. Set goals and targets

The process of setting goals allows you to choose where you want to go in life. Once you’ve decided on a goal, start working toward achieving it. Don’t try to do everything at once- set small targets that you must hit, and be realistic when setting a time frame to attain it.

  1. Surround yourself with successful people

Be around people that are smarter, richer and more successful than you so you will be able to learn from them. They will inspire you to reach for a higher bar and show you how to get to the next level.

  1. Visualize yourself wealthy and rich

If you thing about something long enough, your subconscious mind will draw in opportunities to make it a reality. Take 5 or 10 minutes to visualize yourself getting a larger salary or opening your own business and let the law of attraction work its wonders for you.

  1. Age is just a number

Unfortunately, in some countries it can be difficult for people of a certain age to get good jobs, despite their experience. But remember, if you are determined to make money, you can become rich at any age. The important thing is to have a clear idea of what you want and the knowledge to do it.
