Combing Theoretical and Practical Education For Better Knowledge

Theoretical education & practical education

Successful education combines various tools and methods in a healthy mixture that teaches children and adults the needed skills and knowledge. Through the right balance, learners can learn new concepts that help them become more competent at what they do.

There’s always a debate about the best type of education, with advocates recommending theoretical knowledge as a better method of learning than practical applications. So which type is actually better?

Comparing Theoretical and Practical Education:

Theoretical education relies mainly on knowledge obtained from written sources like books, journals, and online academic websites. Learners learn by reading texts, taking notes, and revising the concepts they read about. This type of knowledge is more structured and gives weaker students a chance to learn by repeating the same information several times. Students don’t have to do anything on their own, as theoretical education emphasizes the importance of others’ experiences, so it sheds more light on the big picture and allows learners to learn about various concepts.

The most important problem with this type of education is that sometimes learners are unable to relate to the concepts they read about. Still, they can get online tuition help by checking wyzant reviews where they can find experienced tutors to provide assistance with various tasks and assignments.

Practical education, on the other hand, is all about hands-on activities. Learners learn when they do things with their own hands. Touching and seeing objects while doing experiments teaches students skills that they don’t easily forget. This is a good approach to learn about science because what you won’t easily forget what you learned. Most students feel that this type of knowledge is more fun and entertaining. They learn new things through fun activities without having to memorize anything. Students easily relate the acquired knowledge to their lives and know how to use it later on.

For some students, this type of education can be quite confusing. They need more guidance and structure; otherwise, they might feel lost. Moreover, they should have access to reliable sources, so they have the needed knowledge through practical applications. Teachers and parents should review various tools to help students have access to academic assistance when they need to.

Which Type of Education Works Best?

It’s quite challenging to pick one type of learning and decide that this is the best approach. The difference between theoretical and practical learning make them both work together to provide the needed balance. Theories teach you the “what and why” while practical work teaches you the “how.” Working with both methods provides students with a better learning experience where they can understand various concepts easily.

Today, students have access to various resources that combine theories with practical experiments. They can check books and execute experiments, or work with online resources that combine both methods. People learn differently, and there is more than one way to teach the same topic. Teachers should make sure that the needs of their students are met by combining various interesting tools that help teach different subjects.

7 Reasons Why You Should Get an Eye Exam Today

If you have not gotten your eyes checked in a while, you should click here to see the several reasons why you it would be beneficial to get an eye exam today.

Are you one of the 150 million Americans that wear corrective eyewear, including glasses or contacts? Even if you don’t wear corrective lenses, you should get your eyes checked because you may need glasses and to check the health of your eyes.

If you have not gotten your eyes checked in a while, you should click here to see the several reasons why it would be beneficial to get an eye exam today.

  1. Can Detect Serious Health Problems

The eye is one part of the body that allows doctors to get a clear view of blood vessels, tissues, and nerves. These blood vessels can mirror other vessels in the body, which means they can help doctors detect health problems elsewhere. A thorough exam of your eyes and the blood vessels can help point to potential medical problems like cancer, strokes, hypertension, or diabetes.

In addition, many eye diseases do not have symptoms. Early detection helps prevent vision loss.

  1. Vision Screenings Are Not The Same

If you think that you or your kids are okay with a vision screening, you may be wrong. These screenings only identify visual tasks like reading road signs or seeing the chalkboard.

A comprehensive eye exam checks that your vision is clear. You may find that a little vision correction could go a long way in helping you see better. The vision screening would not identify that small change, and it would not detect any eye health problems.

  1. Establish a Baseline

Your eye doctor will develop a baseline for all your eye tissues, so he can identify any changes quickly. You should have a comprehensive exam before age 40.

  1. Vision is Vital to Learning

Undetected vision issues can cause problems for kids at school. They could fall behind and have reading difficulties. This is why your child should see an eye doctor every year to correct any issues immediately.

  1. Your Eyes Change

The best vision helps you perform your best whether it’s at work, school, or even sports. Even a slight correction to your prescription can keep your eyes from fatigue and prevent headaches.

You can also see if you are a good fit for corrective surgery at places such as Focal Point Vision.

  1. Digital Eye Strain

Everything we do involves a screen whether it’s working on the computer, watching tv, viewing our phones, and using a tablet. Using these devices changes how we blink. We blink slower when we stare at a screen and can cause dry eyes.

Because you are blinking less, your glands by the eyelids do not produce as much tear or lubricants. Your glands can clog up, or you can suffer from dry eye. Your eye doctor can check the condition of your glands and help treat any dry eye symptoms.

  1. Look Good and See Good

The main reason you probably visit your eye doctor is for your eye health. If you wear contacts, it’s vital to check the health of your eye and ensure the brand and style of the lenses agrees with your eyes.

If you wear glasses, you can find the latest and greatest frames to keep you stylish.

Get Your Home Summer-Ready: The Ultimate Summer Maintenance Checklist

Summer is around the corner, which means it’s time to do some maintenance on your home. Read this guide to discover a summer home maintenance checklist.

On average, Summer is the second most expensive season of the year. Homeowners in the South may find it the most expensive on cooling bills alone. The key to staying ahead of these rate increases is through early maintenance.

Using a home maintenance checklist for each season lets you budget your time and money effectively. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck with a repair at the height of the summer’s deadly heat. It’s a good idea to start every summer with proper maintenance and preparation of what is to come.

Here is a list of things to keep your house in great shape.

Easy Home Maintenance Checklist

We’ll start off with a list of to-dos that shouldn’t take too long to do.

  1. Cleaning Out the Fridge

The refrigerator has to do heavier lifting in the summer, but there are ways to reduce its footprint. Start by cleaning the outside with your vacuum cleaner. Get underneath and behind the fridge, sucking up any hair, dirt, or crumbs you find.

On the back of the fridge, you’ll want to vacuum over the coils to prevent dust buildup. A thin layer of dust can create a huge impact on the fridge’s efficiency. If you find the vacuum isn’t picking up enough, you can buy a long coil brush to take care of it.

Next, start purging your fridge to reduce the amount of cooling your fridge needs to do. Use this opportunity to downsize on stuff that doesn’t have to stay cold. It’s better to use up more ice than using up more fridge space.

  1. Windows, and Curtains, and Blinds

Windows are either gateways to heat loss or heat penetration. During the summer, you’ll need to get used to keeping natural light at a minimum. Keep the windows covered between 1 pm and 4 pm, at the very least.

Invest in some nice blackout curtains or reflective blinds. This will dramatically reduce your electric bill, especially if your house has modern insulation. Consider treating your windows with UV coating or investing in thermally insulated windows.

  1. Summer Kitchen Setup

Kitchens get messy quickly if things aren’t organized properly. During the summer, smaller appliances will be higher in demand. The blender is the new smoothie station and your ice dispenser is going to get a lot of work.

If your fridge’s dispenser only accommodates a standard glass, consider keeping a medium-size Tupperware filled with ice in the freezer. This is great for quickly chilling drinks and making desserts. Mix half cubed and half crushed ice for easy smoothies and coffees during the summer.

  1. Check Your Alarms

We’re throwing this in because it takes little effort to swap out batteries for your detectors. Yeah, some of you will need a ladder, but you’ll get over it. Summer is the perfect time to check alarms because it’s the halfway mark.

Would you rather deal with the repeated harassment of the beeps in the cold? We thought not.

Semi-Professional Maintenance for Summer

These tasks are doable by yourself, but it’s a little more involved than cleaning the house. A professional eye will help avoid costly mistakes.

  1. Check Your Pipes

Leaks become a little harder to detect if they are small enough. In the summer, a slow leak can evaporate on the surface and leave no evidence to the untrained eye. That’s why you should check all your lines and faucets.

Your water bill rates go up significantly over the summer, so you can get into a lot of trouble if there’s a hidden leak.

  1. AC Inspection and Maintenance

There are a lot of common a c problems that occur during the summer. This is because your AC is working harder, which exacerbates any underlying problems. Changing the filter every season is a given, but you’ll want a closer look before the heatwave arrives.

Hire a professional to inspect your AC unit each year before the rates go sky-high. If you’re calling the repairman during the dead of summer, prepare to spend 30-50% more.

  1. Roof Inspection

Why should you inspect your roof during the driest month in the year? It’s the easiest way to prevent future leaks. Before the hurricanes and heavy rains return, get up there and check for any damage.

Look for loose and damaged shingles, debris, and any warping that could compromise your roof’s integrity. Having a professional inspect your roof during the summer is a very smart and cheap investment.

  1. Landscaping

Keeping your lawn green is the toughest thing to do in the summer. There’s only so much you can do if you’re under a water restriction, of course. You can reduce the damage done by the heat by eliminating weed growth.

Weeds suffocate your grass and steal what little water there is in the ground. Use mulch around trees and garden beds to prevent any encroachment. For the rest of your property, don’t over-cut your grass.

Taller grass holds more water and helps defend against weeds. Water in the morning for a proper soaking. Get about three inches in the ground before the sun evaporates it all away.

  1. Exterior and Siding

Take care of your home’s perimeter during the summer. You’re going to get a lot of uninvited guests wanting to find a way inside. Insects catching the slightest draft from your cool interior will exploit any cracks.

Check your siding and make sure it’s in good condition. Look for any cracks in paint or mildew growth. This is really important for those who live in very humid climates.

Make sure your gutters are also clean and clear of any debris. The smallest amounts of standing water will attract mosquitos by the truckload.

Stay Safe in the Heat

Summer is not a time to procrastinate on your home maintenance checklist. The longer you wait, the more likely you’ll have to do it in the heat. It’s hard to do any basic tasks when you’re being boiled alive.

Stay safe if you’re going to do home repairs in the heat. Wear wide-brimmed hats, drink lots of water, invest in a cooling towel, and take lots of breaks. Or, you can avoid all of that by having professionals handle the job for you.

Different Reasons Why Your AC Unit Blows Warm Air in the Summer

There can be several reasons why your AC unit blows warm air in the summer. Click here to learn what the problem may be and what should be done about it.

Air conditioners are complex machines, despite the fact that 87 percent of all American homes use them in some form. Because of their complexity, they can develop mechanical and functional issues with time due to use. One of the most common problems that your AC unit may experience is blowing hot air.

Knowing a few of the most common reasons why your ac unit blows warm air can help you diagnose problems before they grow too serious. This can help you get your air conditioner working properly again as soon as possible.

AC Unit Blows Warm Air Because of Thermostat Settings

One of the first and most common reasons why your AC unit may be blowing warm air is because of the wrong settings on your thermostat. If you hit a button and switch your central system from cooling to heating, you may actually be running your furnace instead.

In a similar vein, if you don’t notice air flowing out of your vents, you may have turned the fan off by accident. Make sure that it is set to the automatic function, which will engage the fan once your air conditioner turns on.

Blocked Condenser

The condenser is the section of your central air conditioner located outside of your home. With time and age, it can become clogged with leaves, dirt and other debris. This can prevent the system from conducting a heat exchange between the interior and exterior of your home.

In extreme cases, this can lead to your air conditioner struggling to produce cold air throughout your home. By trimming back plants that may be growing too close to the condenser, and washing away stuck on dirt and debris from within the unit, you restore the effectiveness of your air conditioner.

Most condensers can hold up to power-washing and scrubbing. However, take care when doing so, and if in doubt contact a professional. Moisture can damage the wiring of your air conditioner and further hamper its function.

Refrigerant Leak

Another reason why your AC unit may begin to blow warm air is if the refrigerant has leaked out of the system. This is a rare occurrence, but can happen when a seal or hose within your air conditioner breaks down. Refrigerant, which is a gas that your condenser condenses into a liquid, can leak out of your system and leave your air conditioner unable to vent heat out of your home and chill air inside.

Warm air is the most common and noticeable sign of a refrigerant leak. You may also notice that ice has built up on your AC unit, usually around the area where the leak has developed. You should have a professional inspect your system to verify that a refrigerant leak is to blame.

In some cases, if your unit is old enough it makes more sense for you to consider new AC installation instead of repair. Leaking refrigerant usually points to improper installation or an older, less efficient unit that is in need of replacement.

Diagnosing Other AC Issues

Narrowing down the causes of an air conditioner that blows warm air can help you direct a professional to figuring out the best way to fix the issue.

If your problem is not that your AC unit blows warm air, but something related, you should talk to a contractor to have a professional inspection done to diagnose the issue.

Malpractice vs. Negligence: Understanding the Differences to Protect Your Health

Negligence by a professional is malpractice, but not all malpractice is negligence. Read here to learn the difference between malpractice vs. negligence.

Death from malpractice claims over 250,000 lives each year. And it is the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S. behind only Heart Disease and Cancer. That is a staggering number, and one that most medical professionals don’t want you to know about.

But how many of these are legitimate accidents, and how many or negligence on the part of the doctor? When it comes to malpractice vs negligence, it is very important to know the difference.

Medical malpractice and negligence are very similar, but they have some key differences. Keep reading to learn how you can tell the difference, and protect yourself from future catastrophes!

Malpractice vs Negligence: What’s the Difference?

Before you can know how to protect yourself in the proper way, you need to know what both malpractice and negligence are on their own.

What is Medical Malpractice?

Medical malpractice occurs when a doctor intentionally does something that is different than the normal standard of care in each situation. In lamens terms, when a doctor does something they shouldn’t do, knowing they shouldn’t.

Whether this is trying to find a quicker solution to a problem or doing a procedure improperly, it can be very dangerous. Not only can it cause serious injury, but it can lead to death. If you’re not covered or protected against this, it can leave you without a loved one and stuck with an outrageous medical bill.

What is Medical Negligence?

Medical negligence is similar to malpractice and is usually the deciding factor on a medical malpractice case. The difference is that medical negligence is not always intentional.

Many times it can be a doctor failing to do something due to distractions or other factors. This isn’t the doctor doing or not doing something on purpose. It is them not paying attention to what they are doing. But lack of attention to detail can be just as costly.

An example is someone driving a car and getting into an accident by accidentally running a red light. They didn’t do it intentionally, but they are still responsible for anyone else who was in their car or the car they hit.

Just because something is unintentional doesn’t mean there aren’t real consequences. Hopefully, this never happens to you. But if it does, you want to make sure you seek help from a good medical negligence attorney.

How To Protect Yourself

Protecting yourself starts at the very beginning before any sort of care has been administered. Become knowledgable on the medical condition you have. Then do your research on the different treatment options that are available for your condition.

Do your research on what medical professionals are trusted and experienced in whatever surgery or procedure you might be getting. Before you go into the doctor for the first time, make a list of questions you might have about your condition or treatments. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or manipulated by a doctor, it’s completely acceptable to ask for another opinion until you find someone you can trust.

Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself either. Many times it can be easy to be intimidated by complicated medical jargon or the way the medical system is run. If you or your loved one feel like something is off, it’s okay to speak up and ask more questions.

One way to make sure you are taken care of is by having a loved one there with you. They may think of questions you might’ve forgotten to ask and can help to protect you.

How to Win a Lawsuit

The first thing you need to do before even considering any kind of lawsuit is to determine if what happened was actually medical malpractice and negligence. Many times a patient or their family may get a bad outcome from a surgery or procedure, but that doesn’t always mean it was malpractice.

Sometimes surgeries don’t work. Or sometimes they lead to more complications. That’s part of the process.

But other times there are very clear signs that something was done incorrectly. The problem is that there needs to be unadulterated proof that this occurred. While the number of malpractice deaths is high, the number of payments issued for claims has gone down over 56% since 1992.

To help you prove that an injury or death was caused by malpractice there are several things you need to keep in mind.

The first one is duty. Did the doctor have a duty to the victim to make sure that a surgery or procedure went a certain way?

The second one is breach. Did the doctor breach this duty by either intentionally or accidentally failing to perform this duty?

The third one is causation. Were the injuries sustained from the procedure caused by the doctor’s breach of duty?

The last one is damages. Is the outcome and settlement you are requesting related to expenses acquired during the medical treatment or because of it? This could be anything from covering medical bills to compensation for pain and suffering.

Protect Your Present and Your Future

As you can see, knowing how to determine malpractice vs negligence is important in protecting yourself and your loved ones. Being aware of everything up front can help limit a disaster later. And knowing how to identify malpractice or negligence can help you to win your case should it get to that point.

Common Causes of Basement Flooding

Basement flooding is a common problem faced by homeowners that can be exacerbated when heavy rains arrive. Find out common causes.

As a homeowner, you know that there is a lot that can go wrong with your house.

You could get hit by a bad storm that damages your landscape, or maybe black mold starts growing in your home, or you just deal with everyday home maintenance issues.

But there aren’t many home problems worse than a flood. And if your home has a basement, it’s always at risk of flooding.

In fact, 98 percent of homes with basements will experience some form of water damage of flooding during its lifetime.

Luckily, a lot of the common causes of basement flooding are preventable. You just need to know what to look out for and be proactive with any problems that arise.

Here are some of the most common problems that lead to a basement flood.

Bad Pipes or Sump Pump

Basements contain three main sources for flooding: pipes, the sump pump, and the water heater. If there is something wrong with one of these, your basement may have a flood.

Pipes are at risk of rusting as the age or freezing in cold weather. They can also get damaged and have cracks or holes in them, which will lead to a flood. That’s why it’s important to monitor your pipes, especially if they are old or you’ve recently had a freeze.

If your home uses a sump pump, it means your home needs help keeping up with groundwater so there isn’t a basement flood. Therefore, if your sump pump isn’t working properly it won’t be helping reduce groundwater around your home, which will lead to a flood.

Monitor your sump pump to make sure it’s functioning as it should so you can avoid a basement flood.

Gutter Debris or Damage

The purpose of gutters it to move water away from your home so it doesn’t flood. They are essential for keeping your basement dry and safe from any water damage.

But your gutters need to be clear if you want them to work as they should. If your gutters are full of debris, or they have broken anywhere, they won’t deter water as they should.

Your gutters need to be cleaned regularly to keep them clear of debris like leaves, pests, and more. Cleaning your gutters can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, so hiring professional gutter cleaners is a great idea.  Click here for more about estimating your gutter cleaning costs.

Poor Basement Sealing

If the walls and floor of your basement are poorly sealed, you can be at a higher risk of a basement flood. Poor sealing can happen when your home is being built, or a good sealing might deteriorate over time.

If your basement has poor sealing, it may flood during severe weather conditions because water can easily seep through the walls and floor.

To prevent this, you can pay attention to your basement after it rains. If you notice a bit of water seeping through the floors or walls, then you need to re-seal your basement before a severe storm hits.

The House Was Built in an Unsuitable Location

If your home was built somewhere that isn’t suitable for a basement, such as a location that often floods, your basement is at risk.

Also, if your home was built with a poor design in terms of water flow, water may run down to your basement during a heavy downpour. If you suspect this is the case for your home, you need to take extra precaution to prevent your basement from flooding.

Improperly Installed Drainage System

Your home should have a drainage system installed around it. A drainage system is meant to deter water away from your basement and should block the entry of water into your home.

If this drainage system was improperly installed or is not working properly, then water won’t be drained and can end up flooding your basement.

If your drainage system is not working, it may be due to a weeping tile failure. This happens when a part of the drainage system (a pipe) disconnects or is clogged full of debris. This prevents water from flowing away from the house.

When this happens, the water level will rise and spill out of the sump pump or out of leaks in the foundation into your basement, causing a flood.

Sewer Backup

One of the worst ways your basement can flood is from a sewer backup. Sewer backups are out of your control and if they happen, wastewater can completely flood your basement if you don’t notice right away.

When sewers are too full, the water level will rise above the pipes. You may notice dirty waste water coming up through the toilets and sinks. If the water levels continue to rise, the water will spill out into your basement, potentially leading to a flood.

Heavy Downpours or Natural Disasters

While there are precautions set in place to prevent a flood such as a drainage system or sump pump, natural disasters and extreme weather events do happen. When they happen, your basement may be at risk of flooding no matter how well you’ve protected it.

To protect your home investment, it’s important to get flood insurance in case something like this does happen.

Basement Flooding: Take Caution and Be Prepared

While a basement flooding may seem like something out of your control, it’s actually preventable for the most part. As long as you stay on top of issues with your home and you’re proactive, you can prevent a basement flooding before it’s too late.

To All Of You Exhausted And Fragile Souls Who Feel Like You Are Falling Behind In Life

Listen to me.

I know that you feel like you are not doing much, I get that. I am familiar with that feeling. I know that you feel like you desperately cannot find motivation, no matter how much you are looking for it. I can see it in your eyes. I know it all.

The truth is, you don’t need motivation. You don’t lack inspiration.  You just need time to unwind and find yourself. You need space to relax and let every emotion flow through you. Stop making endless lists which we all know you won’t finish. Stop scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for tutorials on how to get yourself going. Accept the fact that you don’t have the strength to do all that you wanted right now. Accept the fact that you need rest. You need to stop running around in circles and… just breathe.

I know it’s hard for you to give yourself permission to do whatever the f*ck you want. I know it is because you are too afraid what the world would say about you. But I am here to help you. You are allowed to be who you are. Even if that makes you the laziest, crankiest and most unproductive person today.

Let’s get one thing straight. You, my friend, are not a robot. You cannot just decide that you are going to do something today and expect that your body will immediately follow up. I mean, I know that determination and hard work is what makes dream come true. But you are just a human being. A creature made of flesh and blood and a pounding heart. A person who cannot always control what they feel. So, allow yourself to feel that. Whatever it is.

We think that the older we are, the more power we have over our lives. We think that we are almighty. But we are wrong. We cannot control everything. This is life. It is happening when you least expect it. It brings you up for a second only to put you down for the next few moments. It’s an unpredictable and crazy ride. But that is the beauty of it.

You are writing a novel even when you think you aren’t. The fact that you are not as productive as you want to be doesn’t mean that your work doesn’t matter. The fact that everyone else is ahead of you doesn’t mean that you are falling behind in life. They are writing their own novels at their own pace. That has nothing to do with your story.

So, know this. No matter how much you try to manipulate your life or force yourself to do something that you are clearly not capable of doing at this moment, the game of life is out of your hands. You simply can’t control it. You may try to predict what happens tomorrow, but no one can tell for sure whether it will certainly happen.

Can’t you see that you are slowly missing out on your life?

Stop beating yourself up and forgive yourself. You are not doing anything wrong. You are just living your own life the way you know. You don’t need inspiration. You just need to stop feeling less because you are not doing your best. You don’t need to listen to what others have to say about your life, because in the end, what they say has nothing to do with who you are.

I know that it feels like you are in a very dark place. But, let me tell you something.

The darkest hour of the night comes just before the dawn.

Chin up darling, you’ve got this!

Looking For A Job? This Greek Cat Sanctuary Will Pay You $560 To Take Care Of Cats

Looking for a job but the thought of being tied to a chair 9 hours a day makes you cringe? Feeling exhausted of your 9-5 work, but you’re too afraid to quit?

Fret NO MORE.

We have the dream job for all of you cat lovers out there.

A Greek cat shelter for stray cats is looking for a caretaker who would feed 55 cats and hang out with them.

This amazing place is located on the beautiful Greek island called Syros, which is near the famous Mikonos island. This small piece of heaven is populated with roughly 20,000 people and it is a truly amazing place to live.

And one of the most interesting things about this place is the fact that is overpopulated with cats. But luckily, this island is also inhabited by people who care about animals.

So, in an attempt to provide the cats on this island with the help they needed they eventually created a cat shelter which they named God’s Little People Cat Rescue.

The people behind this project are a husband and wife who have been living on the island since 2010. They started by opening the sanctuary on their own and taking care of all the stray cats on this island, but as time passed by and their family became larger, they realized that they need help.

That is why they have an open position for a cat caretaker. They are looking for someone who would feed the cats, take care of them and above all, enjoy spending their time with them. You don’t need special qualifications to get hired here; You only need to love cats and be willing to accept responsibility for 55 cats.

You read it right. 55 cats!

Your main responsibilities would be feeding the cats, giving them plenty of love and attention, taking them to the vet, cleaning after them and of course cuddling them 24/7. But besides being constantly surrounded by these furry friends, the additional perks of being employed at God’s Little People Cat Rescue is living on this beautiful island and having your own tiny cabin with a wonderful view and a magical garden. Last but not least, the salary is $560 US per month.

So, cat lovers, would you quit your job and move here?

Breakups Don’t Have To Be Painful: 10 Ways To Break Up With Your Partner With Love

When we enter a relationship with the person we love, none of us thinks about the potential breakup, let alone is prepared for that. Unfortunately, your relationship sometimes comes to a point where it can’t be saved. You sometimes reach a point in your relationship where staying with your partner is more difficult and painful to you than breaking up with them.

Many people decide to stay with their partner although they are no longer happy in the relationship because they’re afraid how the breakup will affect both them and their partner. But the truth is that breakups don’t have to be hard and painful. You can put an end to your relationship and leave your partner in a healthy, friendly, and loving way. You can break up with your lover without hurting either of you.

Here are 10 ways you can do that:

1. Accept responsibility for your own mistakes and bad actions.

Never put the blame for your bad behavior on your partner. If you’ve been unfaithful to them, admit that it was solely your fault and no one else’s. Don’t make your partner feel responsible for your own mistakes.

2. Accept the fact that love is not always enough to keep two people together.

Accept the fact that regardless of what a deep, strong connection two people have had, sometimes they simply grow apart and nothing can change that.

3. Treat your partner with respect and dignity.

Respect your lover even if you don’t want to be in a relationship with them anymore. Give your best to avoid treating them with hostility and disrespect.

4. Don’t get attached to the potential outcomes of the breakup.

You might want you and your partner to remain friends after you break up or you might want your lover to admit all of their mistakes and wrongdoings when you break up. However, whatever your wish is, don’t get attached to it. Instead, allow the Universe, Faith, or you name it, to guide you and just let things be the way they’re meant to be.

5. Don’t blame yourself.

Don’t be hard on yourself. On the journey called life, we come across both positive and negative experiences and the latter are what help you grow and become wiser and stronger.

6. Give yourself time to grieve.

Regardless of who did the leaving, you have the right to cry. You have the right to feel disappointed. You have the right to be angry at yourself.  So, take all the time you need to grieve and process your emotions, but never allow yourself to dwell in self-pity.

7. Give your partner some space.

Don’t expect your partner to become your best friend right after the breakup. Instead, try to understand that they, too, need some time to get angry, grieve, vent, and heal their wounds.

8. Allow yourself to feel contentment and joy.

Just as you’re allowed to feel grief and disappointment when you break up with someone, you’re allowed to feel satisfaction, joy, pleasure, and freedom as well. You have the right to feel all these ways.

9. Believe in yourself.

Recognize that you don’t need to be in a relationship with someone so as to feel happy, fulfilled, acknowledged, respected, and loved. Recognize that you are whole and complete exactly the way you are.

10. Remember that your happiness and inner peace are more important than your relationship status.

Remember that self-love and self-respect are more important than the love and respect another person can offer you.
