yoga teacher training

Holistic practices like yoga provide many advantages for the mind, body, and soul. You open up a whole new universe of opportunity once you complete yoga teacher training. A deeper understanding of the field enables you to start teaching or to improve your practice. Obtaining a certificate in advanced yoga teacher training also offers doors to opportunities that can have a positive impact on your life.

Whether to pursue yoga training is frequently questioned because it requires a significant investment of your time and money. Although a 200 hour yoga teacher training equips you to work with students of all skill levels, going farther in your yoga training has many other benefits. To simplify your doubts, here is a list of reasons why pursuing yoga teacher training can benefit you.

Path To Personal Growth:

Through self-reflection, we can use those experiences as instruments for personal growth, seeking to move away from old habits and bad thoughts and toward new, constructive behaviors.

Your development as a yoga teacher will involve more than just attending courses; it will also involve facing your flaws, inner demons, and any lingering negative emotions. You will be astounded to witness events unfold before your eyes as they progressively free you from the difficult aspects of your personality. (1)

Improve Your Knowledge:

The benefits of developing your yoga practice are innumerable, and teacher training is a fantastic method to achieve that. Being a teacher trainee gives you access to both the fundamental knowledge needed to teach and lessons from more seasoned instructors and mentors.

You gain a better comprehension of yogic philosophy. You can gain more meaning in your life as you delve more into yoga’s philosophical foundations and spiritual character. Subsequently, you can give your pupils access to a richer experience by practicing with more depth and comprehension.

Push Your Comfort Zone:

Yoga teacher training is not always simple to complete. It necessitates perseverance, discipline, and determination. Every day will present fresh challenges to test your physical stamina in a class of peers from all backgrounds.

New things will be revealed every day, whether through practicing the same pose you learned previously, perfecting the pose, meditation, or even branching out into new styles of yoga. Your body will progressively get stronger and more adaptable. But after you’re done, you’ll feel a wonderful feeling of fulfillment.

Meaningful Interaction:

Yoga teacher training has a wide range of advantages. You can learn more about the practice and meet new people from all over the world. This is a wonderful chance to meet people who share your enthusiasm for yoga and have similar interests.

They can teach you new things and be a source of encouragement for you as you grow as a yoga teacher. Additionally, connecting with other instructors might open up new doors for you, such as discovering teaching positions or learning about forthcoming workshops and events. (2)

Peace Of Mind:

As a yoga instructor, you would be doing something you genuinely love, providing you the ultimate happiness and mental tranquility. Each time you take a meditation session, you immerse yourself in the divine, recite prayers in your heart, and allow your soul to find some serenity. Learning and teaching yoga is not just a way to hone your inherent talents but also a way to live a more relaxed, contented existence.

Final Thoughts:

Not everyone should enroll in advanced yoga teacher training. If you want to pursue a teaching profession, a 200-hour course will provide you with a strong foundation across everything related to yoga and put you on the right track.

A loving home: decorating your first place together

loving home

Whether you opt to buy or rent, moving into a property with your partner can be both exciting and scary. Once you have the keys, you may want to think about how you can decorate this new and exciting space.

You both may already have furnishings and possessions from their previous residences, but other items may still need to be acquired. Creating a loving home can involve personalizing it to represent both of your passions, as well as commemorating the next step in your relationship. It’s an exciting step – so let’s take a closer look at some great ways you can decorate your first place together.

Creating memories

Depending on how long you have been together, you may already have pictures of things the two of you have done together. These could be used as a means of decorating your new home. You may be able to order magnetic wall photos depicting some of these images, especially if they have been left on your smartphone up until now.

It can be a good idea not to go overboard. While you may want to display your love for one another, you might not want to have too many pictures in each room, or this could look tacky. Having one or two throughout the house, and saving the majority for your bedroom, may have a more desired effect.

Buying new furniture

Taking old furnishings into your shared space can help you to save a lot of time and money. While you may not mind using old tables or wardrobes, beds can be an entirely different matter. Only around 25% of people would feel happy about sleeping in a bed that their partner previously shared with someone else.

Due to this, it may be a good idea to prioritize going shopping for a new bedframe and mattress. This way, you can both take comfort in knowing that you are the only person who has slept or been intimate, in it with your partner. In addition to this, it can also be a great time to upgrade your mattress to one that suits both of your sleeping needs or even gain more space.

Use this time to your advantage

Even though you may still have to attend work or university, the process of moving in together should still be cherished. Some couples may find that decorating their new space can help to bring them together. You may be able to use this time to work on how you communicate with one another, learn to set budgets as a couple and even learn to compromise on things you want.

At the same time, as you pick out items, you may also be able to learn more about the type of things that your partner likes, which can be great for gifting later on, as well as building on your initial bond.

Moving in together can be good for both financial reasons and taking your relationship to the next level. Rather than attempting to rush the move, and subsequent decorating, you may want to use this time to create some more wonderful memories together.

Tips On How To Keep Your Relationship In The Honeymoon Phase Forever

happy couple

During the honeymoon phase of a relationship, a magical thing happens. When you are in this stage, you are infatuated with your partner, and everything is new to you. You’re constantly thinking about them and can’t wait to spend every waking moment with them. It’s an intoxicating feeling that you never want to lose. Unfortunately, the honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever. Typically, it lasts six months to two years, and then reality starts to set in. The butterflies begin to fade as you become aware of your partner’s flaws. That’s not to say that your love for them fades, but the intensity of the early stages starts to dwindle. So, how can you keep the honeymoon phase going strong? Read on to find out what steps you can take to rekindle your dormant passions.

relationship

Remember That It’s A Two-Way Street

When fretting over the loss of passion in a relationship, many people tend to look outward toward their partner and blame them. However, it is vital to recognize that passionate love is a two-way street, and if you’re not doing your part to re-woo your lover, the flame may go out forever. Therefore, before attributing blame, you should look inward and see what you can change or actions to take to keep things fresh and exciting. For instance, if you are wondering how to get a guy to spoil you, consider how much effort you put into looking good or think of ways to get them interested in you again. Moreover, avoid negativity whenever possible to reduce the chances of turning them off. It’s the same when you try to win back your girlfriend or wife. Consider what you are doing (or not doing), and then initiate a change. It may just happen that your partner becomes your lover once again.

Allow Each Other To Have Enough Space

The honeymoon period is characterized as being around one another almost constantly. While this provides a great feeling during the honeymoon phase, it begins to wear thin after a while. This might not be an issue for some folks, but others can find it an uncomfortable and claustrophobic experience. Giving each other space in a relationship is crucial because it allows both people to grow and develop as individuals. It also means that they are not suffocated by the other person’s presence, which can lead to resentment. Giving each other space also allows for more meaningful conversations, which will help the couple understand each other better.

Tell Your Partner What You Love About Them

Telling your partner how much you love them is a great way to rekindle your relationship. It is essential to ensure that you are telling them how much you love them every day because many people don’t do this and end up feeling lonely and unloved. The more often you tell your partner how much you love them, the more likely they are to reciprocate those feelings. You should also try to do little things for them, like making their favorite dinner or taking care of the kids so they can have some time for themselves.

Consider Your Own Sexuality And What You Enjoy

Everyone has a particular sexual preference or kink they enjoy. Nonetheless, these things can get lost after a while of being with another person. As your interests become one, sex becomes a compromise that doesn’t fully satisfy anyone. Therefore, you should take some time to remember what excites you and try to reintroduce these things into your sex life. Once you begin to regain your personal excitement, your partner will often become more involved and remember what they love about you.

Embark On Spontaneous Romantic Vacations

A romantic vacation is a great way to spend time with your significant other and can result in a memorable experience that can help you rekindle your relationship. This is because it takes you away from the day-to-day routine and enables you to get back to what matters most. Couples can spend time away from the daily grind and enjoy each other’s company while earning more about their partner by experiencing new things together.

Embrace The Fact That The Honeymoon Phase Is Just The Beginning

As a final note, it is worth understanding and embracing the fact that honeymoons aren’t meant to last forever. They are merely the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership. Once you comprehend this point, you can move on to the other phases of a romance and discover the new things it brings.

The honeymoon phase is that magical time early in a relationship when everything just seems perfect. But alas, there must be an end to everything. However, if you follow the tips here, you will be in a better position to rekindle your love and enjoy each other’s company again.

How to Cope After Dementia Diagnosis

Dementia

As you may know, dementia is a syndrome that causes a deterioration of cognitive function beyond what is expected from the typical consequences of aging.

According to the World Health Organization, over fifty-five million people around the world currently live with dementia and almost ten million new cases arise every year.

The most common form of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease. It is believed to contribute to between 60% and 70% of cases.

While there is no treatment to cure dementia at present, medicines and therapies can be used to help people with Alzheimer’s disease and various new treatments are currently being investigated in clinical trials.

It is sure to be a challenging time after you have been diagnosed with dementia, but by learning how to cope with your diagnosis, you can deal with your new situation better.

Here are some of the ways in which you can cope after a dementia diagnosis.

Seek Professional Help

First of all, seeing as dementia symptoms can be caused by numerous conditions, it is vital that you obtain an accurate diagnosis as soon as possible, especially if your symptoms appear suddenly.

Not every sign of cognitive decline means you have dementia, so you should definitely get a professional diagnosis.

So, you should search for “a dementia evaluation near me” where a professional clinician can evaluate your condition and provide therapy if required.

The best way to delay the progression of dementia symptoms is to combine physical exercise and cognitive activities. A clinic that specializes in dementia diagnosis and care will therefore be able to help you to live a fulfilling life for as long as possible.

Research Your Type of Dementia

After diagnosis, you should learn as much as you can about your specific type of dementia. You could have Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, or another type.

By researching your type of dementia, you will be able to cope better with your symptoms and help to slow the disease’s progression.

Do Not Hold Your Feelings In

It will never be easy being diagnosed with dementia, and you could find yourself in a state of shock or depression in the first few days and weeks. That is perfectly normal. And, indeed, to cope better with your diagnosis, it is important that you give yourself time to take everything in and explore your emotions.

If you try to hold your feelings in, you will probably become more stressed and depressed.

Therefore, you should write down your feelings and also talk to someone about how you feel. Ideally, you should talk to a professional, such as a therapist, as well as loved ones who can support you daily.

Be Kind to Yourself

Following on from the last point, it is important to be kind to yourself after a dementia diagnosis.

You are sure to have multiple feelings, but remember that the dementia is not your fault or anyone else’s. So, do not blame yourself. Instead, be kind to yourself.

When you are kind to yourself, you can more easily work through the shock of the diagnosis and prepare yourself for the challenges ahead.

Make Practical Changes

By considering practical aspects, you can make changes to prepare for the future.

One way in which you can do that is to adapt to your environment.

By taking simple precautions like increasing the lighting in your home, removing trip hazards, leaving yourself reminder notes, and developing daily routines, you can ensure you do not injure yourself and you can preserve your independence.

Speak to a healthcare professional about the practical changes you can make to help you cope better during the different stages of dementia.

4 Dating Trends: What is More Popular in 2022

happy couple

Have you ever met someone at a bar or a cafe and exchanged numbers, and grabbed drinks? Dating is no longer as simple as it used to be. Dating trends are changing and expanding opportunities for meeting new people.

The pandemic has forced people to reevaluate their priorities and rethink the way they connect with others. As a result, many of us are now more selective about who we date and how we date. We’re also spending more time getting to know potential partners before committing to a relationship.

Video dating has become more popular as we have got used to social distancing. And more relationships are formed virtually as people become more comfortable with remote communication.

Here are more details about dating trends in 2022:

Online Dating

The popularity of online dating has grown in recent years, with more and more people turning to the internet to find a partner. There are several factors driving this growth, including the popularity of dating apps, the growth of social media, and the acceptance of online dating. As more and more people turn to online dating, the industry is likely to continue to grow and evolve.

Some of the most popular online dating trends for 2022 include best adult hookup sites, niche dating sites, and artificial intelligence-based matchmaking. With so many options available, it’s no wonder that more and more people are finding love online.

Dating a Foreigner

The trend of dating foreigners is undoubtedly on the rise. In today’s globalized world, we are more connected than ever before, and it’s easier than ever to meet someone from another culture.

Whether you’re looking for love or just a fun new experience, dating a foreigner can be a great way to broaden your horizons and learn about new ways of life. Additionally, dating a foreigner often entails travel to new and exotic locations. This can be a great way to explore the world and create lasting memories. Finally, many people believe that foreigners are more open-minded and tolerant than people from their own culture. (1)

Dry Dating

Young people are becoming increasingly interested in dry dating as a new trend. The term refers to going on dates without any expectation of sexual activity. This can be a liberating experience for people who want to focus on getting to know someone without the added pressure of physical intimacy.

For many individuals, dry dating can also be a way to avoid the potential drama and heartache that comes with hooking up. With dry dating, there is no need to worry about whether or not both parties are on the same page; everyone knows that there will be no sex involved. As a result, dry dating can be a fun and low-stress way to meet new people and possibly even find love.

Slow Dating

Slow dating is an alternative to traditional speed dating where participants take their time getting to know one another over a series of shorter dates. The goal of slow dating is to help build more meaningful relationships by giving daters the opportunity to connect on a deeper level.

By taking things slow, there is less pressure to perform or meet certain expectations, which can make the whole process more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking for a long-term relationship or just want to enjoy the process of getting to know someone new, slow dating may be right for you.(2)

Final Thoughts

It’s hard to say what other trends will emerge in the world of online dating in the future. Whatever the future holds, one thing is for sure: dating will never be the same again. And to choose the best dating option first of all you need to decide what you’re looking for in a relationship

5 Tips for Taking Ozempic

type 2 diabetes

For anyone with diabetes, it is normal to feel overwhelmed. Having this condition means needing to check your blood sugar often, remembering to take your medicine, making healthier food choices, and more.

Recently, a relatively new drug gained momentum – Ozempic. Ozempic offers users effective type 2 diabetes management alongside physical activity and diet. Keep reading to learn more about this drug.

What Is Ozempic?

Ozempic (semaglutide) is a single-person-use, disposable, and pre-filled injection pen. It is a prescription medication to help patients revamp their type 2 diabetes management. It is simple to use and can offer solid results.

Type 2 diabetic patients get to use the product with exercise and a healthy diet to keep their glucose in check. It can be a viable option for patients who previously tried other diabetes medications but had no success. Just a single Ozempic dose works around the clock for an entire week.

The dosing options can include 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg. It can be taken with or without food.

Patients should insert the needle into the skin of the thigh, stomach, or upper arm. They shouldn’t inject it into a vein or muscle. And every time they do use the product, it is important that they rotate the injection site.

What Is Ozempic Used For?

Ozempic can help treat type 2 diabetes mellitus with increased physical activity and diet changes. People can also take the product to decrease the odds of potential cardiovascular events, such as stroke or heart attack.

This prescription medicine mimics the effects of GLP-1. It works with the body’s natural capability to reduce glucose and A1C. Semaglutide responds when the glucose skyrockets, thus allowing the system to release its own insulin. It achieves that by preventing the liver from creating or releasing excess sugar.

It aids the pancreas in producing more insulin when the glucose is too high. And it slows down the time it would take the food to leave the system.

Ozempic cannot replace insulin. Therefore, this injectable isn’t capable of treating type 1 diabetic patients.

It can have other uses as well. Although this injectable is not for weight loss, research on Ozempic weight loss results shows 2.4 mg of semaglutide once a week, with healthy lifestyle changes, offers a notable drop in body weight.

This is important since higher body weight can lead to bigger risks of different health problems, such as heart disease, sleeping problems, breathing problems, unstable blood pressure, and more. Luckily, with a modest drop in body weight (5%–10%), people can notice beneficial results.

Is Ozempic Effective for Managing Diabetes?

When exercise and healthy eating habits are not enough to stabilize blood sugar levels, that’s where Ozempic could prove useful. Alongside other drugs, like sulfonylurea, metformin, or insulin, Ozempic could aid the system in managing sugar levels. It can also help patients who can’t tolerate metformin.

So, what makes Semaglutide effective for diabetes? Diabetes is a metabolic condition that impacts various components of the body. In type 2 diabetes, the pancreas can create the necessary amount of insulin at first. However, the body’s cells slowly but surely, lose their ability to use and absorb that insulin.

If the patient can’t reduce their glucose enough through working out and eating well, then medication can regulate that. Semaglutide is a type of injectable that can prevent strong fluctuations in glucose levels, including the uncomfortable effects of too low or too high blood sugar.

When it comes to injectable semaglutide, people are also interested in the difference between Ozempic vs wegovy. They are both the same medicine: semaglutide, with different brand names and dosages. But, the main difference is in their purpose. Ozempic is meant to treat type 2 diabetic patients and reduce the risk of notable heart problems. Wegovy is mainly tailored toward weight reduction and chronic weight management.

What Are the Side Effects of Ozempic?

Just like any medication out there, Ozempic can cause side effects. Based on FDA reports, the most prevalent Ozempic side effects presented in over 5% of patients were:

  • Constipation
  • Abdominal pain (i.e., bloating, gas, heartburn, and upset stomach)
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea

Users might also experience a loss of appetite, stomach flu-like symptoms, exhaustion, and headaches. In some patients, the adverse reactions caused a drop in blood sugar. It is important to talk to a specialist if you see your body doesn’t react too well to the product.

An allergic reaction can also happen. It can be accompanied by dizziness, hives, and swelling. Seek medical help immediately if your body shows any classic signs of an allergic reaction to semaglutide.

If this injectable doesn’t work for you, you can discuss the potential Ozempic alternatives with your doctor. They can come in the form of an injectable or an oral alternative.

Some of these options include metformin (oral alternative), Bydureon BCise (injectable), Trulicity (injectable), and Rybelsus (oral tablet). Consult with a specialist to know what diabetes medication is right for you.

5 Tips for Taking Ozempic

Before you start using Ozempic, tell your doctor about any other medical conditions you might have or had in the past. This includes problems with the kidneys, pancreas, or diabetic retinopathy. Be open about any medicines or herbal supplements you might be using.

To get the most out of this medication, here are a few tips you can try.

1. Avoid Some Foods

People want to know what foods should be avoided in an Ozempic diet. Ozempic is an injectable that works best if you combine it with healthy dietary habits. Although no consumables are strictly off-limits, there are some foods to avoid while taking Ozempic

These include:

  • Fried and fatty foods
  • Foods high in sugar
  • Refined grains
  • Alcohol

If you do experience nausea, you might want to eat smaller portions and take your time when chewing food. Also, eat products that are light and bland but high in vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. The best foods to eat with Ozempic are non-starchy veggies, whole grains, nuts, natural protein-rich products, and legumes.

2. Proper Storage

When using the injectable pen, you can store it for 6 weeks, either in the fridge (2˚C to 8˚C) or at room temperate (not over 30˚C). Don’t put it in the freezer or expose its contents to direct sunlight or heat. Feel free to store it in a dry and cool place out of reach of children.

3. When to Throw It Away

Throw away the pen you are using after 6 weeks, even if there is some medicine still left in it. Make a note of when you bought it so you won’t forget. Use a plastic sharps container to throw away the used needles.

Do not use the product if the solution is not colorless, clear, or almost colorless. It means the Ozempic went bad.

4. Take Extra Precaution

Avoid sharing needles or pens with anyone else, even if they have the same condition as you. You can get an infection or pass one onto them.

5. Ask For Advice

Ask your nurse or doctor to show you how to inject Ozempic before you try it out yourself. Injecting it the right way can minimize the discomfort and can help curb some of that unease.

Final Thoughts

Ozempic is a prescription injectable that can help with type 2 diabetes. With a single dose once a week, patients can decrease their glucose levels and manage their underlying health conditions. They can self-administer the necessary dose and make use of its beneficial properties.

Medicare Part A, B, C and D: What’s the Difference?

Medicare

Medicare consists of four parts, each serving a different purpose. Here is a brief overview of each part and its basic features:

Part A

Part A is usually referred to as hospital insurance and covers inpatient services of hospital stays. Here are the services offered under the part:

Hospital services related to staying overnight in a hospital

A person can be treated in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) if he or she is limited or cannot perform daily functions on his or her own and/or needs nursing care for a maximum of 3 months.

Skilled Nursing Facility(SNF)

In order to receive benefits from Part A, the patient must recuperate after an extensive hospital stay that was medically necessary and not self-imposed in an SNF skilled nursing facility. Medicare must approve the place before receiving payment for these services.

Home health benefits

Home health benefits allow patients to receive medical services in their homes. Part A covers skilled nursing, physical therapy, and home health aide services administered under a physician’s direction and for which Medicare is the primary insurer.

Hospice Care

Hospice care is designed to provide comfort and relief to terminally ill patients. Part A has specific provisions for the benefit of hospice care. It covers the costs incurred for inpatient hospice services, including inpatient and outpatient hospice care.

Medical Social Services

Services provided under the medical social services part of Medicare are provided to the elderly, disabled, and persons with a mental illness. It covers doctor’s visits and care that is rendered in an inpatient or outpatient setting. This includes but is not limited to:

Medical Services Related to Unexpected Illnesses

This part covers the cost of services provided for unexpected illnesses that occur within 30 days of admission for treatment or recovery from a new illness. These are called “non-Medicare-covered acute illnesses,” that is, illnesses that require hospitalization and treatment if the person does not have health insurance coverage or other means of coverage (not including short-term or temporary coverage).

Part A is generally paid for by a portion of the Social Security taxes paid over a person’s lifetime. The amount of the Medicare tax paid is deducted from one’s Social Security benefits.

Part B

Part B covers fees for a physician, outpatient care, and outpatient hospital care if you have a Medicare-approved home health plan. This covers the cost of the services provided by your doctor, specialist, dentist, or therapist. Part B covers:

Actual Cost of Dental Services

The actual cost is determined using a process called Cost-Based Dental Examinations (CBDE).

Coverage for Preventive Services

The Plan pays 100% of the cost for some preventive services, including vaccinations, flu shots, and breast cancer screenings. This saves the patient money and can also improve their health.

Medical Equipment

The Plan covers items like walkers, wheelchairs, and hospital beds.  It also covers Hoyer lifts for people who need help getting in and out of bed. The Plan does not cover prosthetic devices or equipment like artificial teeth or eyes.  However, a separate Medicare program covers stand-alone dental plans and contact lenses. Part B is generally paid by premiums that are deducted from the Social Security check bi-weekly.

Mental health treatment

The Plan covers mental health services provided by mental health care providers. The Plan covers only certain types of mental health services such as counseling, psychotherapy, and personal care services. There are different limits on what the Plan covers for mental health treatment.

Ambulance services

The Plan covers ambulance services, including transportation to and from the hospital (ambulance fees) and emergency medical care while in transit.

Diagnostic lab tests

The Plan covers these services that are administered by a physician who works for a Medicare-approved lab. Medicare does not cover blood tests that are performed at any lab other than a Medicare-approved one. Part B is paid by monthly premiums, which are deducted from the Social Security check on a monthly basis.

Limited outpatient prescription drugs

The Plan covers these prescription drugs that are approved by Medicare only. These medicines have been determined to have a low cost relative to their efficacy and/or benefit, based on studies performed by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

nurse care

Part C

Part C is also referred to as Medicare Advantage. It is the Medicare supplement program, and private insurance companies provide it. It helps save potential beneficiaries money and provides the benefits they prefer.

Preventive care

The Plan covers inpatient and outpatient services that are administered in a medical facility to help prevent illness and/or injury through prevention.

Hospital Services

The Plan has lower deductibles, among other benefits like Medicare flex cards. Visit this page to learn more about these benefits.

Home Health-Services

The Plan takes over the entire cost of Medicare-covered home health services. This includes costs for inpatient and outpatient services, transportation, and rehabilitation services. For some beneficiaries, there is also home nursing care provided by nurses that the Plan contracts. The Plan covers skilled care administered in an extended stay unit (short-term) and skilled care provided in an acute hospital setting (long-term).

Ambulance Services

The Plan covers ambulance services, including transportation to and from the hospital (ambulance fees) and emergency medical care while in transit.

Prescription Drugs

The Plan covers only medications that are approved by Medicare only. These medicines have been determined to have a low cost relative to their efficacy and/or benefit, based on studies performed by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Skilled Nursing Facility Services

The Plan covers only inpatient services that are administered in a medical facility to help prevent illness and/or injury through treatment. The skilled care provided is not always nursing care but can include physical therapy and/or rehabilitation, among other things.

Part D

Part D is a program that was created as a way to help people with prescription drug coverage. The program is managed by private insurance companies that work for Medicare beneficiaries. These companies contract with pharmaceutical companies for the medical services covered by Part D. Beneficiaries pay a monthly premium deducted from their Social Security (or Railroad Retirement) check. Some beneficiaries may also have an annual deductible applied to the monthly premium payment if they choose not to use their Plan’s drug benefit as part of their prescription plan. Here are some of the items covered by Part D.

Mail-Order Pharmacies

The Plan uses mail-order pharmacies to provide prescriptions for their beneficiaries. However, this does not mean that beneficiaries cannot use local pharmacies.

Prescription Drug Coverage

The Plan provides coverage for these prescription drugs, which are approved by Medicare only. These medicines have been determined to have a low cost relative to their efficacy and/or benefit, based on studies performed by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Some of the more popular Part D prescription plans are as follows:

Continuing Coverage

These are Medicare supplemental plans that cover certain people who were formerly covered under their original Medicare plan. Some of these groups include but are not limited to individuals who have had a late enrollment penalty applied to their Social Security check and those beneficiaries who have had a previous private Medicare supplement plan terminated by the insurance company. In some cases, a beneficiary might be ineligible for Original Medicare but can qualify for an approved Part C or Part D Plan. These supplemental plans can be valuable to individuals who want additional coverage beyond their Original Medicare coverage.

Concurrent Coverage

These are Medicare supplemental plans that cover certain people who were formerly covered under their original Medicare plan. Some of these groups include but are not limited to individuals who have had a late enrollment penalty applied to their Social Security check and those beneficiaries who have had a previous private Medicare supplement plan terminated by the insurance company. In some cases, a beneficiary maybe not be eligible for Original Medicare but can qualify for an approved Part C or Part D Plan. These supplemental plans can be valuable to individuals who want additional coverage beyond their Original Medicare coverage.

Creditable Coverage

People who have had medical coverage that they pay for themselves (e.g., prior employer-sponsored, retiree, or union) may be eligible to apply that coverage toward Part A and/or Part B. Some of these groups include but are not limited to individuals who have had a late enrollment penalty applied to their Social Security check and those beneficiaries who have had a previous private Medicare supplement plan terminated by the insurance company. In some cases, a beneficiary might not be eligible for Original Medicare but can qualify for an approved Part C or Part D Plan. These supplemental plans can be valuable to individuals who want additional coverage beyond their Original Medicare coverage.

In conclusion, it is important to be aware of the different types of Medicare Supplement Plans available, which is why you should contact an agency specializing in Medicare insurance St George Utah, the eligibility requirements, and how these plans work to make an educated decision on which Plan is best for you.

4 Music Genres That Arose From Blues Music (and How)

Guitar

Blues music is a genre with deep roots in the African-American culture because it started as music for the soul. The early versions of blues were a combination of religious music and work songs that the African-Americans, who were treated unjustly by the system, used to voice their woes.

As the name and the historic placement suggest, blues songs are melancholic and sad. The first singers used to work the fields during the day and sing their sorrows at night, in blues bars (or Juke Joints), using a guitar or harmonica and their voice.

As time passed, people started to look for better conditions in more friendly states, and they took the music with them. As a result, blues music spread and evolved, leading to the creation of other genres we know and love today.

1. Blues – Delta vs Chicago Styles

Many of the people who fled the south relocated to the city of Chicago. Here, blues singers continued their performances, but they also adapted their style to fit the culture of the city. This way, blues split into two genres: Delta Blues and Chicago Style Blues.

Mississippi: The Birthplace of Delta Blues Music

The earliest form of blues was called Delta Blues or Country Blues and had a solo singer with a harmonica or a guitar. The reason behind the name is the very birthplace of blues music – the Mississippi Delta. If you look into the history of Mississippi Delta blues music, it’s easy to understand why the earliest tones were lamenting and filled with sorrow.

Chicago: Adding Energy to Blues Music

In Chicago, blues became more energetic and more instruments were used to create the sound. Here, classic blues songs like “I Believe I’ll Dust My Broom” became more upbeat and included several instruments besides the classic guitar, such as an electric guitar, a bass guitar (sometimes), drums, and even a piano.

2. Jazz

One of the unique characteristics of blues is the use of 12-measure units (aka blues chords) made up of three chords. The same structure is present in early jazz (or jazz) improvisation and shows up in the works of big names such as Louis Armstrong or Miles Davis.

As jazz music progressed on its own path, it kept some of the emotional depth and soul of the original blues music. In fact, due to these very qualities, many people love to use light jazz music as a meditation driver.

3. Rock and Roll

Who would’ve thought rock and roll, a musical genre that’s all about guitars, drums, and over-the-top performers, has roots in the lamenting blues? But, if you pay attention to the history of rock and roll, you’ll notice it was heavily influenced by blues, gospel, country, and jazz.

Big rock and roll names such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, or Chuck Berry follow the classical 12-measure blues structure and add an energetic spin to it.

4. Country Music

Country music is thought to be the result of blues music mixed with folk music brought to the US by European immigrants. Like blues, country music started among working people who had to live and work the land in harsh conditions. That’s why Jimmie Rodgers, the father of country music, defined country music as “the white man’s blues”.

Wrap Up

Blues music had a major impact on American culture and on the development of the musical scene of the west. Many of the big names of the musical world we know today give praise to the early blues artists who took their sorrows and turned them into something so powerful and beautiful.

Without blues, we wouldn’t have R&B, heavy metal, or classic rock, and the world would be a sadder, emptier place.

7 Signs Your Partner Doesn’t Respect You

no-respect

Respect is one of the essential ingredients of any healthy, meaningful, and happy relationship. When partners respect each other, they tend to feel more accepted, admired, appreciated, and safe in a relationship. On the other hand, when partners don’t respect each other, they tend to feel angry, suspicious of each other, and highly resentful.

Noticing the signs your husband, wife, or partner doesn’t respect you is crucial in a relationship, as this can help you recognize a problem before it escalates. It can save you from feeling unappreciated, unprotected, and resentful, and at the end of the day, from staying in a relationship that’s bound to fail.

Many relationship experts say that if you can identify any of the signs given below, this is an indication that you’re in a relationship with a partner who doesn’t respect you.

Here are 7 telltale signs your partner doesn’t respect you:

They put you down in front of others. This is one of the most painful things your partner can put you through. It’s not only demeaning, but it also shows your partner does not care about your feelings or emotional wellbeing. Public embarrassment, making jokes aimed at hurting one’s pride, could be a display of narcissistic behavior.

They have no sense of boundaries. Having your partner oblivious that you, too, want to be alone sometimes and that you are not up for playing video games or watching a movie because you are tired or you have a splitting headache can be annoying. But, what hurts the most is that they don’t bother to ask what is wrong, they just push you to do what they want to do. Or, you clearly said that something bothers you, yet they keep doing it.

Disrespect is really that last drop that spills the water out from the glass sometimes, don’t you think? It’s because it hurts, and it’s bafflingly annoying at the same time.  (1)

They badmouth your friends and family. If you step up and you set up the limits from the start, you clearly show your partner what things are off their grid and what things are within it you allow. When a person dares to disrespect you or your family or friends, they know they can get away with their behavior, and they will keep doing it. Let your partner know they should accept your circle of people – they are the ones that raised you, the ones you grew up with, and if they don’t like them, too bad! There is nothing you can do about it.

They want everything their way. How can you tell the difference between hitting a rough patch in a relationship and a relationship that just isn’t working? Respect, yes. You may be swinging for the fences, but what if your partner isn’t putting in the effort on their side? What if they only acknowledge their own needs and never compromise? That’s a sign of disrespect right there. For a relationship to thrive, partners should meet halfway. (2)

They never ask for your opinion. If your partner doesn’t bother asking for your opinion, it’s very likely they don’t care about it. Our partners should want to listen to our advice and opinion, not because it’s the best out there or the brightest, but because they care to hear it.

They are way too critical. Going down that judgment lane is everything but pleasant. I know how you feel. There are people that will push you against the wall with their reproaching looks and critical words. It sucks bearing that feeling of not being enough on your shoulders. If they constantly mention your wrongdoings, mistakes from the past, or your flaws, that’s not only disrespectful and judgmental, that’s a little toxic too.

They are not kind to you. Respect is a two-way street. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone through that one-way street and felt miserable. I have left myself to be in a relationship that was not good for me for too long only because I thought things would change.

If you are giving respect, you should receive it back. I didn’t. If you feel like you are the only one, please don’t because you are not, and it is NOT your fault. Don’t blame yourself for something others are not doing.

You know, the important thing is to speak up when your partner doesn’t respect you and not let it happen again. It’s really important to fight for yourself because you deserve to be treated right, because if you don’t, who else will, darling? If your partner is not being nice to you in any way, if there is no kindness and affection, you shouldn’t continue being in that relationship. I mean, is it really so hard to be nice? At the end of the day, you are just asking for a little care and affection.

What To Do When Your Partner Doesn’t Respect You

There’s no space for disrespect in a healthy, meaningful, and successful relationship. If you can spot any of the above-mentioned signs in your relationship, you can take this as a clear sign that your partner doesn’t respect you, and, in what follows, we’ve explained what you can do about it.

1. Respect Yourself

You can’t expect your partner to respect you if you don’t respect yourself. So, the question is: How do you respect yourself?

You respect yourself by treating yourself with dignity, care, and love and looking after your overall health.

You respect yourself by accepting and loving yourself for who you are, with all your weaknesses and imperfections.

You show yourself respect by living your life according to your own values and principles and not sacrificing your needs, feelings, desires, and priorities to meet other people’s expectations or receive their approval.

You respect yourself by saying ‘no’ to things that don’t feel right. For example, if your partner invited you to dinner that they organized with your mutual friends, but you had a rough day at Work and didn’t feel like going to the dinner, you have every right to decline the invitation without feeling the need to explain yourself.

You show yourself respect by surrounding yourself with positive, honest, trustworthy, and loyal people. People you know you can always rely on and who bring a sense of fulfillment and happiness into your life.

And last but not least, you respect yourself by calling out people on their behavior when they hurt you and letting them know what behaviors you will or won’t tolerate.

2. Identify The Nature Of Their Disrespectful Behavior

Your partner could have displayed disrespectful behavior since they were frustrated over something related to their Work or with a friend. Of course, this isn’t a valid excuse, but it also shows that they didn’t disrespect you intentionally. Also, if they sincerely apologize to you for their disrespectful behavior, you can take this as a sure sign that they didn’t behave that way on purpose and that they’re sorry for it.

On the other hand, if your partner never apologizes to you for their disrespectful figure, you can take this as a sign that they hurt your feelings intentionally. Perhaps they think you deserve what they’ve done to you, and they have nothing to apologize for. When you’re in a relationship with someone who treats you this way, this is a clear sign that your relationship is not headed in the right direction.

3. Set Clear Boundaries

Once you’ve identified the reason behind your partner’s disrespectful behavior, you might want to consider establishing clear boundaries and making sure your partner is well aware of them.

If your partner said or did something that hurt your feelings, bring it up to them. Let them know it was offensive and that you won’t tolerate that type of behavior. Let them know how you expect and deserve to be treated.

4. Walk Away

If you’ve called your partner out on their behavior and let them know what behaviors you’re willing to tolerate and what behaviors you’d never put up with, and they continue to disrespect you, you have every right to walk away.

You deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and if someone is not aware of that, they don’t deserve a place in your life.

10 Signs Your Child Doesn’t Respect You

1. Your Child Disobeys Family Rules

Every family has rules and traditions that they’re all required to respect. However, if your child acts like your family rules regarding doing everyday tasks or household chores and how they’re supposed to treat you and other elders, this is the first and sure sign your child has no respect and concern for you.

2. Your Child Becomes Demanding

As parents, we all need to meet our children’s needs and cater to their desires. However, if your child gets everything that they want and continues to demand more, this is a sure sign they don’t respect your boundaries and you as well.

3. Your Child Becomes Mean To You

If you’re a loving, caring, and supportive parent and your child dares to pick fights with you or even make sarcastic comments about you or insult you when they don’t get something they want, or for no apparent reason, this is a sure sign they don’t show you respect.

4. Your Child Expects Special Treatment

When you cater to all of your child’s needs and desires, it’s easy for them to become ungrateful and start behaving like they’re the only one in the entire world.

Providing your child with so much support and comfort can make them feel like they deserve special treatment every time and begin to look down on kids that are not treated the same way at home.

Moreover, your relationship with your child can become conditional, which means they are good to you only when you give them what they want. And when you don’t, they become passive-aggressive and rude to you.

5. Your Child Doesn’t Share Things Or Help With Their Siblings

The saying ‘Sharing is caring’ should have meaning for both parents and children. However, if your child refuses to share food, clothes, toys, or help with their siblings, this shows this saying has no meaning for them.

If this is the way your child behaves at home, not only is this a clear sign they don’t respect you, but it’s also a sign that they’re self-centered and don’t respect their siblings and their needs.

6. Your Child Rarely Does Anything On Their Own

Caring and responsible parents provide their children with everything up to a certain age. But as your child grows older, they should be willing to do things they’re ready for and can do properly on their own. For example, picking up toys, making their beds in the morning, helping you clear the table after lunch, or throwing out the garbage are simple things that don’t require time or effort and can teach your child how to be responsible.

However, if your child refuses to do things around the house, rarely does anything by themselves, and constantly expects you to do something for them, this is a telltale sign they don’t show you respect.

7. Your Child Doesn’t Show Sympathy Or Care For Others

If your child acts like your and their siblings’ feelings, needs, time, concerns, and problems have no meaning for them, not only is this a sign of disrespect, but it may also be a sign that they don’t love you or their siblings.

When a child doesn’t show sympathy or care for family members and/or other people, there’s a risk that they might grow into a bully that enjoys hurting others.

8. Your Child Is Never Satisfied With What They Have

Loving and caring parents cater to their children’s desires and needs. But if it seems like your child is never happy or satisfied with what you provide them with and never says ‘thank you’ no matter what you do for them, not only is this a sign that they’re ungrateful, it’s also a sign they don’t respect you as well as everything you do for them as a parent.

9. Your Child Doesn’t Accept ‘No’

If your child always expects you to do or give them what they want you to on first demand, even if you said ‘no,’ but also promised to do that later, this is a clear sign they don’t respect you. It’s easy for a child to become fussy or stubborn when they’re rejected without being told the reason for it. But if you’ve explained to your child why you can’t do what they want you to and they’re still fussy or even rude to you, then there’s no excuse for their disrespectful behavior.

10. Your Child Frequently Has Tantrums At Home

There’s nothing wrong with providing your child with what they want if you’re able to do that. But when you don’t buy your child something they want since you can’t afford to buy it and your child throws a tantrum because of that, a serious problem can arise.

If your child starts whining, screaming, crying, or kicking every time they don’t get their way, this is a telltale sign your child is rude and mean since the way they react to rejections is completely dramatic and negative.

7 Signs Someone Doesn’t Respect You

Of course, if someone lies to you, manipulates you, or talks about you behind your back, they are showing disrespectful behavior.

However, disrespect doesn’t always come in such obvious forms.

There are many other less offensive actions that are a sign a person doesn’t respect you the way they should. So, in what follows, we’ve presented 7 subtle signs someone treats you with disrespect.

1. They Constantly Look At Their Phone When Interacting With You

Whether it’s texting someone or checking how many likes their newly posted photo on social media has received, when a person is always on their phone when interacting with you, it’s a clear sign of disrespect.

Someone who respects you will be willing to get rid of any distractions and pay close attention to what you have to say, including putting their phone away. In this way, not only do they show that they appreciate your company and time, but they also show they’re interested in what you have to share with them.

2. They Interrupt You When Talking With You

Clearly, not every detail, joke, or story someone shares with us we’re going to find interesting or thrilling. But if you respect someone, you’ll listen to them attentively when talking to you and allow them to finish their thoughts prior to asking them something or changing the topic. When you respect someone, you show interest in what they have to say, even if that is not always the most exciting piece of information.

On the other hand, when a person constantly interrupts you when talking with them or tries to change the topic of conversation, this shows that they value what they have to say more than your opinion, and they couldn’t care less about something that is obviously important to you.

3. They Change The Subject When You Try To Call Them Out On Their Behavior

If a person tries to change the subject or accuse you of being too sensitive or dramatic every time you want to call them out on their behavior because they said or did something that hurt you, you can take this as a sign that they don’t respect you. Because a person that respects you will allow you to express your feelings and opinions, even if they don’t agree.

4. They Excessively Call Or Text You When They Know You’re At Work

Of course, we all want to be in touch with those we love and care about. But if someone respects you, they’ll know when it’s appropriate to reach out. They won’t text you or call you ten thousand times when they know you’re at Work, studying, or busy doing something important. So, if someone excessively calls you or sends you messages when they know you’re busy, this shows that they value their time more than yours, and they don’t respect your boundaries.

5. They Only Text You Or Call You When They Need Something

A person who respects you will be there for you, even when they don’t expect you to do them a favor. They’ll give you their attention and show that they care about you, even when they can’t benefit from that.

On the other hand, someone who doesn’t respect you will only reach out when they need you to do something for them, but when it’s you that need their support or help with something, they’ll simply disappear.

6. They Put You Down

A person who respects you will tell you what they think about you right to your face without harshly criticizing you or belittling you. On the other hand, someone who doesn’t respect you will insult you or make sarcastic or derogatory comments about you or something related to you. When someone treats you this way, it’s important to show them that you won’t tolerate such behavior.

7. They Don’t Keep Their Promises

Sure, we all sometimes get swamped with Work or other tasks and responsibilities, but that doesn’t mean we have the right to constantly break the promises we’ve made to our loved ones. So, if a friend, family member, or even your partner repeatedly goes back on their promises, this may be a sign that they don’t value your relationship or time the way they should.
